Douglas came back with hot drinks, he was soaked, "Someone take these please."

Locke did so and tossed Douglas a towel. "Yer turn, chief."

"Thanks." Douglas dried himself off.

Locke set the drinks aside.
Kaladin finished up with Selike and took a step back. He seemed to zone out for a second, then shook himself vigorously.

Douglas finished drying off and then took one of the drinks. He took Selkie gently and tried to get him to drink some.

Kaladin shook himself again, earning a look from Locke. "Ye should do tha same. Ye must be cold yerself."
The echidna nodded and sat down, pulling one of the blankets over him. He blinked drowsily as he did so.

"Stay awake until you warm up. I don't want to have to try to wake you up like I am trying with Selkie." Douglas put the drink aside and pinched Selkie's ear.
No reaction from Selkie.
"You risk dying of hypothermia if you fall asleep." Douglas wrapped Selkie in a blanket.

(Now's as good a time to mention that echidnas have a lower then normal standard temperature. Where almost all mammals are 35-38 C, echidnas are usually only 31-33 C (which, in Celsius, is quite a bit lower). That's probably why they live so long in relation to body size.)

Kaladin nodded. "I- I won't..." He mumbled.

(Nice fast facts.)
"make sure of it." Douglas said, "Ugg I'm getting the fish stew." He got up gently laying Selkie down. A few minutes later he had a bowl of hot, smelly, gross fish stew.
He poured some of it down Selkie's throat.
He woke up and spat out what the stew, "What did I ever do to you?"

Kaladin glanced up at them, gaze somewhat hazy. He blinked it away and shook his head.
