She nodded to affirm his suspicions. "Oh, HE DID. You don't have to worry about strangling him because I'm going to flat out murder him. Vile creatures like him shouldn't be on this planet anyway. Wow, Azrail is hot."

"What?" Zach looks at you, confused at your last statement.
Azrail was sleeping as peacefully as can be.

"The snake and that lion are vile creatures. Not because they're werebeasts, but because of what they threatened or did do." she avoided moving as much as she could so Azrail could sleep.

" I understand that, but what do you mean by 'Azrail is hot'. Unless you were just repeating what I had said earlier, about Azrail seeming to be burning up." Zach suddenly felt like a fool. "That's What you were meaning, wasn't it. Ah, I'm a fool."
The sun was blocked by the branches of trees, cooling the air more than it would have been if you had simply been out in the sun and the heat. Soon, however, the branches were barren and the trees, all dead looking. Up ahead you hear laughter.
"Visitors! Visitors, visitors. We like visitors." A Nimmt says, falling on your head. It laughs and clings onto you. It spotted Azrail and hops down next to him. "Little thing must have lots of life left. Nice treat." The Nimmt wraps its fingers around the red panda's middle. The red panda made a questioning sound, blearily opening his eyes and trying to figure out who woke him.

"No! Get away!" She tried to unravel it's fingers and jumped off the horse. "Please get away from him and us and you can just die alone thank you."

"No. I don't want to die alone." The Nimmt says, tugging on Azrail to try and get him for itself. Azrail nearly slips from your grip, but his tiny claws dig into your arms as he tries to keep himself with you. It was tug of war with a Ninmt, Azrail being the rope.
"Hey, you can't hurt either of them." Zach says, getting off his horse and, using an arrow like a dagger, stabbed the Nimmt. The Nimmt shoos Zach away with one of its hands, the other having a tight grip around Azrail's middle.

She barred her teeth and bit the Nimmt's hand. "I'll do it again if you don't pull away." She growled and held Azrail tighter to her body.

The Nimmt whimpers and pulls its hand back. Azrail's hind legs scrambles for a purchase before he was finally able to rest in your arms again, trembling.
"You're mean!" The Nimmt says. "Both of you are mean." It runs away, but others are coming. One has the horses. Another was trying to get you and Azrail. Zach was stabbing Nimmts that got to close with his arrow( s).

"Get away! I'll bite you!" She felt vulnerable as she couldn't grab her dagger. "I promise we'll be okay, Azrail." She backed away and tried to think of how to get out of the situation.

"You don't have to promise things you can't keep." Azrail mutters, hunkering down in your arms.
Zach was trying to keep his distance. "And this is why I like my bow and arrows! Except my bow broke a while back. I wish I had it."
