They soon reached the broad white steps, merging into a crowd of people all climbing upward, like ants streaming up an anthill. At the top, three sets of tall silver doors stood open, waiting. As the two if them headed into the church, they got separated by the crowd.

Alister hadn't noticed that Electra was no longer beside him because he was entranced by the lovely building.. he found it stunning and he loved how it looked. He was so lost in thought he didn't even notice he couldn't see Electra near him at all.
( So.. Should Alister get hurt away from Electra, escape outside.. but not make it inside the car due to his wounds? )
