Logan nodded and started to recite the rules

"Good," Mr. Morgan spoke, "Go check out your competetion."

A black Arabian was being walked by a young man. The stokcy lad was working with the large stallion. A chestnut was being trotted on the course. Many horses were being ridden.

"And if you want to ride in the amauter competiton have yourself and horse ready by nine."

Logan nodded and went out to Wildfire, well aware that he was holding the tack still

Wildfire went to Logan immediatly ignoring the challenging cries of the other stallions especially the Black Stallion whose piecring whistle was hard to ignore.

"Are you ready to go up against these guys?" Logan asked, wondering if he'd be deaf after the race

Wildfire pawed the ground and snorted.
A firey red mare was close to Wildfire's herd. She didn't have a bridle or lead on.

Logan spotted the mare and wondered who that horse was, and if she belonged to anybody. She looked like she was fast, kind of like Wildfire

Wildfire's ears twitched and he headbutted Logan gently.
The arabian was walked by, "Hello are you Wildfire's jockey?" The boy who was walked the black stallion asked.

Logan looked at Wildfire before turning to the voice. "Yeah. You must be the Black Stallion's jockey?"

"Yep," The boy held out a hand to Logan, "I'm Alec Ramsey."
The Black Stallion and Wildfire's gazes met and the fire in both's eyes would be fully unleashed on the track.
'So where's Morgan?" An older gentleman walked to Alec.
