"Have you seen the creatures?" She whispered to him, not expecting an answer

Revilla flinched just a tad when he jumped, because she thought she'd hurt him. She shook her head softly, her smile still evident.
"You don't even realize how long it's been since I've smiled. Or ate. Or bothered to put on something nice. Or even slept. I-It's kind of sad, but I never truly thought I'd leave this place until you came along. You treat me like a person, and not some... insane post-traumatic girl. I can be normal with you." The words just flowed from her, and she didn't bother, or rather, couldn't put a filter on her words.
"I can also do this." She raised her hand that was on her shoulder, slowly setting it back down. "You have no idea how much I want to touch people, but am too afraid to do so."
Her smile was the brightest it'd ever been now, and her dull green eyes almost looked like they were shiny and clear again.

He meows at her. The meow almost sounds like a yes.

Lyla's eyes widened. "What are they...?"

He just meows again. The yes meow was probably a coincidence.

Lyla figured she just heard the 'yes' and that Sylvester hadn't actually said it

He goes back to licking her hand.

Lyla shook her head, trying to clear it

Slight tears of happiness pricked his eyes as he heard her say this to him, and his eyes shined with nothing but happiness as he thought over her words. He relaxed again and said with a happy tone to his wispy voice. " I didn't even realize that.. I just assumed you were not going thru a rough patch and went back to normal after awhile.. It is very sad but I just know you are going to get better and that you're going to be okay. Even if I get out before you do I am going to be so happy to see you leave here because.. " He paused for a moment and laughed gently. " Because I have seen a lot of people crumble and break under pressure but you are someone who will go forward with life, who will get better, who will be normal again. Maybe not right now, maybe not today.. but soon you are going to be alright, I can just sense it... I am glad I make you feel safe, I will continue to do my best so it stays that way. " He felt as she moved her hand from him and placed it back, not even realizing that she had never even attempted to touch him before in his time knowing her, nor did he see it with anyone else before either. " I bet I have an idea.. but don't take it too fast for you. You can't rush healing.. I am just glad you have gotten better with me... and I promise you, you don't have to be afraid with me, that does not mean I expect anything grand, but I dare not put a hand on you. " He said as he noticed the look in her eyes and smiled too, so happy to see her like that. A few happy tears fell from his eyes and did nothing to stop it. He was so happy, one could feel it.

He does another 'yes' meow.
