That stung and he looked down,now he pulled his hood over his head,trying to resist just dashing out the door.That's what he'd feared for so long,that same fear always written in every single paper he wrote in that cave. 'Your friends,the ones you hold dearest to your heart,are nowhere to be seen',to be alone.All alone,and then to only die alone.He wouldn't fall to the Second or Fallen Plane. He would be stuck in between the living and the dead,of no where,because his soul was half and half. He forced himself not to speak for he knew it would let out sobs he didn't dare show.His left leg shook again,now really seeming to want to give way.

"But perhaps you will change all that," she mused. "Perhaps you will find a happy ending to this tale, one that I have not seen. After all--" she held up a long finger, where the ring glimmered brightly against the gloom "--without hope, where would we be now?" She cackled and held out her hand. A small glass globe floated up from behind the counter, hovering in the air before it came to rest in the oracles palm.

Jason didn't feel any sense of hope from those words,not really. But he still looked up despite his freckles dark blue and eyes sad. He knew that in most cases as theirs,that often the ending wasn't happy,as it had been with his parents.A human and a dragon,not meant to work. His mother had died and his father eventually lost his daughters because of Jason's semi-twin,Shade.Had he not had Jason and Shade,Jillian would still be alive and so would his father and sisters...but Jason wouldn't have even come to be.But so many problems he'd caused to Ash and Puck would not have come to be.

"Now," she continued, drawing back, "When I see you again, no matter what you choose, you will not be the same."

He let himself fall into his confusion at that,not wanting to think of the time after the two fey faded.Not wanting to think of that time,of when he'd most likely be all alone again.

The oracle smiled. A breath of wind stirred the room, and she dissolved into a swirling cyclone of dust, sweeping through the air and stinging their eyes and throats.

Jason coughed into his sleeved elbow,his hood falling back again. He didn't like how the oracle did that,not one bit.

"You okay?" Ash's cool breath might have tickled his cheek, as he had edged closer during the time. Puck had as well, not liking the whole prophesying thing

Jason was a little shocked and it caused his heart to almost stop for a moment. "Yeah,I'm fine." He said,but his left leg still shook a bit and his freckles where like bubbles,popping and swapping colors,dark blue and soft maroon.

"All right, Grim," Puck said. "I have what I came for. Now Im ready to see Leanansidhe."


But there was no answer. Grimalkin had disappeared.
