She shakes her head. "The futures we see are inevitable. When we see them, it means all the things to cause it have already fallen into place. The things we see will happen. Which is kinda why it's weird we're getting conflicting info on the death toll- both must be true somehow, but a species can't both survive with 2/3rds of its population and also go extinct." She shrugs. "I'm guessing there's something we haven't seen yet that explains it. Maybe a certain species makes it or something. Can't really say for certain until either it happens or we get a clearer vision."

*... tell me. is there proof that the thought of areials being extinct comes before the thought of 2/3s of them surviving? or are those thoughts at the same time?*

She turns and speaks to the other oreads in their native language. After a short bit of discussion, she turns back to him. "They don't know. We don't get identical visions, so there's not really a way to tell what the order of it might be unless somebody gets a vision with them both. We know the order of some of the deaths, but that's about it."

*because I have a theory. The arials die out, but not all of them. Just most of them so the rest of them hide away in order to survive, leaving no trace and causing everyone else to believe they went extinct. Then they return, with only 1/3 of the original numbers having survived or born.*

She tilts her head. "Perhaps, yes. But something about it needs you. I don't know why. You, that strix girl, and the General are all always in the visions."

She shrugs. "Anyways, are you hungry?"
