Selkie nodded his eyes still glowing, "There is one thing I don't understand though."

"An' what's tha?" The collie inquired, tilting his head in the classic herding-dog fashion.

"Why Typhoon attacked the ship." Selkie said.
"Our ship," Douglas asked rather offput.
"No my father's when he.." Selkie couldn't finish the sentence.

"Typhoon, lad?" Locke inquired.

"My father's bonded dragon. He's a weedy seadragon like Seaweed except he ain't red he's the color of a storm." Selkie explained.

Locke leaned back in the chair as he thought about it. "....Not all bonds are equal-like. Me own Drayke ins't as cooperative as Ah'd sometimes hope, but other stormcallers be in pure harmony. Mahaps the their bond was like tha latter and tha... circumstance... pushed Typhoon over tha edge."

Selkie composed himself before he burst into tears, "It was defintly in pure harmony father could get Typhoon to do most of what he asked in the water. Reminds me of my bond a little."

Locke sighed. "Peace, laddie."

"Sorry I shouldn't be dragging you into this I just gotta bad feeling we're heading into more trouble then we can handle at the molment." Selkie's gaze dropped back to the floorboards.

"It was either this er bein' shark fodder." Locke said with a small smile.
