She sighs, and glances back. "Hey, which one of you got the one about the spready evil thing coming in arial? Mine flickered out before I could finish."

Another mushroom oread pokes his head from around a corner. "The crystal cult?"

"No, that's a different one. Those guys don't spread."

A second oread looks up from the small pit. "Are you talking about the new cold going around in aqua?"

"No, the bigger one in arial." She pauses, then tilts her head. "It is a sickness though. I think."

A third siren, casually hanging from a stalagmite like she's a bat, glances down. "Iron death."

"Yep! That's the one." Mycena turns back to Skullio. "Sorry about that. My powers aren't fully formed yet, but we tend to all get the same prophecies if they're important. I don't know the details, but it's something about a big plague in arial that you somehow are able to stop. Or not stop. Still not sure on that aspect, but you play a major role somehow."

He growled, picked up a rock, and slammed it on his skull the same way someone whos pissed off slams their head against the wall. The rock crumbled.

She casually heals the wound that would most definitely follow from that. "Yeah. Something about an iron plague. But it's not tetanus. That's not contagious, I think. It's a different iron-borne sickness."

"I thought we agreed it was called the iron death?" Another oread intejects.

"Wasn't it rust-blood?"

"I still think it should be called ferrumitis."

Mycena sighs, listening to the three oreads discuss the name as more begin to join the discussion. "Sorry. They like being the first to announce prophecies to the world and stuff, but they also like making sure their name is the one history remembers it by."

*... ok, hold on,* he said, going to the three oreads. *dont argue. agree to a name. or better yet, combine the name. that way, history remembers all of the names you want, same way how fireflies and lightning bugs are the same creature.*

(this plague henceforth shall be named Rusted Iron Ferrumitis! :D

also, sorry for not RPing too much, ive been catching up with other RPers and IRL stuff)

(Its official name is the Iron Death, which I decided around 9 months ago, so they're gonna coincidentally agree on that one lol)

"Iron Death." Mycena decides curtly. "It's simple, easy to remember, and is basically a summary."

The others grumble but agree.

"Yeah. The Iron Death is coming to arial. The details, like I said, are vague, but it's something about darkness, defying nature, whole world decaying into a grey mass of metal- y'know, your typical illness stuff." Mycena explains. This very much does not sound like typical illness stuff.

"Well, not for a natural one, no. But this one's synthetic. It's the first synthetic illness that will occur in history, and from what we have seen of future synthetic sicknesses, it is a typical situation; lots of death, severe symptoms, overall just not that fun." She explains. "But also... not many deaths at all. Dunno why that is- some people are saying arials are gonna go extinct, others saying like 2/3rds are gonna make it. Some sort of conflicting information. Maybe the future is unstable or something, or there's something we haven't seen." She thinks, then shrugs with a smile. "But, I'm rambling. Sorry about that. I haven't even given you a proper welcome before getting all doom-and-gloom prophet at you!"
