Katherine thought for a moment. "I've never really done anything for Thanksgiving..." she whispered sadly. "I've never had that family dinner before..." she whispered. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "I...I know you didn't want to see your family yet...but i. I want to try a family dinner. You don't have to say yes...I-I didn't expect you too..." she shook her head. "I shouldn't have asked...I'm sorry..." she whispered. Feeling awful, wanting to open her eyes to look at him but knew she couldn't.

Kurt sighed a little. "As you wish. I'll call my dad sometime and see if it'd be okay for us to show." He said unable to hide the small bit of distress in his voice besides that call to see what he could do about Katherine's boss, he hadn't talk to this family since Sarah's funeral. He swallowed kissing Katherine's hand. "Anything to make my Katherine happy." He said turning onto a dirt road, still going up the hill.

Katherine relaxed some. "If you don't want to it's okay...I do want to spend it with you though..." she whispered. Her hand shaking a little, scared she had just ruined their moment. She put her other hand against the door when she felt the turn. Not sure where they were going. "are we there?" she asked curiously. She wanted to peek badly. "You do know how badly I want to peek right?" she said with a small smile. Wanting to make him happy again. She held his hand close.

Kurt felt her hand shaking. "No it's fine. I have business I should have dealt with a year ago." He said kissing the top of her hand. He chuckled when she spoke of peeking. "We're almost there. I promise. And if you don't peek I could see you earning a moment like the outside the store." He whispered, he'd kiss her like he had earlier again even if she did peek but he really wanted it to be a surprise.

Katherine nodded nervously. She slowly relaxed. Her cheeks burned a deep red at his words. "Okay..." she whispered. She kept her eyes closed tight, not wanting to ruin it, biting her lip when she felt him kissing her hand. Her head laid back against the seat and she sighed softly, wanting to be in his arms already. "What about now?" she giggled.

Kurt pulled the truck over parking it and turning off the ignition. "Keep them shut. I'm coming around to get you out." He said kissing her cheek lightly before getting out of the truck and walking around to her side. He opened the door unbuckling her before picking her up bridle style and walking a little away from the truck. He set her down carefully, standing behind her quietly. He held his hands a few inches from her In case she stumbled "Okay... You can look now." He said glancing around. They were near the edge of a cliff facing away from the city a tree growing right next to them. The sky had dozens of stars twinkling at them. "Remembered you said you missed the stars. There aren't quite as many as you'd see on a farm but defiantly more then in the city..." He said giving her one of his special smiles that were only for her as he watched her.

Katherine blushed when she felt the warmth of his lips on her cheek. She held onto him tightly when he picked her up, giggling a little. She hesitantly opened her eyes. A gasp escaped her as she looked around them. She turned with a big smile on her face, wrapping her arms around Kurt. "It's beautiful Kurt...I love you so much." she whispered. Her arms tightly around him as she nuzzled into him. "You know exactly how to make the perfect date..." she whispered. Her lips pressing gently against his. "Thank you so much Kurt..." he whispered to him, rubbing her nose lovingly against his as she caressed his cheek. Looking deep into those eyes she loved. She was too happy she could hardly contain herself.

Kurds smile widened. He loved it when she was happy. He wrapped his arms around her pulling her closer to him. "It was worth it to see you this happy...." He said quietly leaning down kissing her softly before pulling away. "Come on and I'll make you the best pb and j you ever had." He said turning holding her hand walking back to the truck to get the food.

Katherine blushed when she saw his smile. "I love seeing you smile like that..." she whispered. Her lips pressing back gently against his. A smile spread across her face again when he spoke, giggling. Her fingers laced with his as they walked. She bit her lip as she took a bag of things from the store, looking at him. He was so perfect.

"I'll keep that in mind, beautiful." Kurt said smiling as he grabbed the heavier of the two bags bringing it to the tailgate of the truck popping it open and setting the bag down. "Well I guess I can tell you the rest of the surprise, we're sleeping here tonight." He said pulling things out of the bag. "I have a change of clothes for the both of us and sleeping bags." He added pulling Katherine against him again giving her a small kiss.
