Jason went still, body calm incase need of major movement, but he carefully took Puck's hand and pulled him a little closer, trying to help him feel better despite the eerie sound. His eyes looked around with seeping purple filling them in with slitted pupils, night sight looking around for anything out of place.

Ashs voice was soft as he turned away. "Lets go."

They continued down several more aisles, stone mausoleums flanking them. Puck peered anxiously between the tombs, wary of bogies and galley beggars and anything else that might jump out at them. He searched for the mysterious Grim, his creeped-out brain imagining werewolves and zombie dogs and scythe-toting skeletons following them down the streets.

Finally, they came to a small stone mausoleum with an ancient cross perched on the roof and a simple wooden door, nothing fancy or extravagant. The tiny plaque on the wall was so faded it was impossible to read.

Jason didn't ever let go of Puck's hand as the went along, his own purple dragon eyes looking around for anything that meant he'd need to do something like run or attack.

"Whose tomb is this?" Puck asked, hanging back from the door as if it would creak open to reveal its grisly contents. Ash walked up the crumbling granite steps and put a hand against the wood.

"An older couple, no one important," he replied, running his fingers down the faded surface as if he could sense what was on the other side. Narrowing his eyes, he glanced back at them. "You two, get up here, now."

"Um,I don't much like tombs but okie." He said and tenderly tugged Puck's hand to have him come over, trying to say with his eyes he'd kill anything that tried to jump at him.

"Once I open the door, the Grim will know were here. Its duty is to guard the cemetery, and the remains of those in it, so its not going to be happy about us disturbing the dead. You dont want to be out here alone when it comes, trust me."

Heart pounding, Puck scurried up the steps after Jason and pressed close to his back, peering out over the graveyard.

Jason let him, trying to use his 18 year old body as a shield just in case, fangs bared and sleeping venom ready in case he couldn't shift to his half form fast enough.

"Church Grims are immune to magic and glamour--they see right through it. And even if you kill one, it doesnt die. To destroy a Grim, you have to dig up and burn its real body, and we dont have the time." He turned back to the door, murmured a quiet word, and pushed it open.

A blast of hot air wafted out of the open crypt, along with the musty scent of dust and mold and decay. Ash eased inside, shutting the door behind them. The tiny room was like an oven.

On a raised stone table lay two skeletons, side by side. The room was so small that there was barely enough room to skirt the edges of the table, so the bodies were quite close. The bones were yellowed with age, and nothing clung to them--no skin, hair, or flesh--so they mustve been here awhile.

Well that killed any idea Jason had to kill any threat, but at least he knew he himself could be a nuisance enough maybe to distract any threat from Puck,he wasn't about to watch him almost die again. Not ever again.

Puck noticed the skeletons were holding hands, long bony fingers wrapped around each other in a gruesome parody of affection. On one knobby, naked digit, a tarnished ring glinted in the shadows.
