Jack stumbled just a little as he went after Ray, gingerly taking their hand to stop them. "Careful... if you go back."

"Of course." Ray says and then gives Jack a kiss on the cheek, slipping their hand out of Jack's and then heading back. They bite their lip and try to plan out how they were going to do this. Finally they decided on just going for it. Ray slips in easily enough, staying to the edge until they had to race forward to get their satchel. A few guards surged forward to stop them. Ray glances at the guards and then focuses on getting what they needed. Once they have it, they barely manage to slip out of the treasury. Someone stops them on their way out the hallway with a sword to the throat. Ray slams their head back, smashing against the guards nose. The guards grip loosened and Ray was off again, vials in hand. Ray hands one to Jack before saying a quick goodbye, planning on leading the guards away from Jack.

Jack was clearly still a little dazed from the kiss from moments before, calling after Ray as they darted off despite the vile in hand and the sting of the toxin moving through his veins.

The world was spinning for Ray, making it hard to run in a straight line. They found themself on the floor and made no move to get up, instead curling into a tight ball and waiting for some guard to find them and drag them off. And the guards came and grabbed Ray tightly, making sure they couldn't run off even if they tried.

Jack had to avoid intervening, since he knew he'd get in big trouble if seen helping Ray after they'd been seen back in the treatury.

Ray went limp, making no move to help the guards drag them to the dungeon but no action to run away from the guards either. One of the guards took the vial Ray had in their hand and handed it to Jack, "I don't know what this is and honestly don't trust it. Can you dispose of it?"

Jack just gave a nod. "Yes, sir."
'Ray needs this... I need to get it to them.' He thought.

The guard thanked him and then dragged Ray to the dungeon and tossed them into their own cell. A few guards were still in the treasury, talking. One was noting the fact that the treasure had been being returned and the one that had ran back hadn't tried to grab any of the treasure, simply something they had left on accident. Another countered it with recognizing the darts Ray had left and explaining that these had been used to down some of the guards when the thief had stolen the treasure in the first place.

Jack put the viles under his armor at the hip, going back toward his post. He was trying to think of a way to get the stuff back to Ray.

Now that the thief was taken care of, the busy buzz of the place was slowing down and it seemed tonight would be another long, lazy, and peaceful night again.
