Sonic frowned. "Ghost... Ghost has always been a little reclusive. It takes a bit of effort before he'll believe you arn't using him-- By that, I mean abusing his goodwill, y'know -- or out to get him. And even then, he finds it hard to fully trust people. I can only assume it's past hurt that he can quite get past, but he has been opening up more. And don't tell him this, but..."

"I dunno. I've been boarding in these mountains since I was a kid..." Sonic said with a grin. He summonded his Chaos Emerald and touched her arm. "Chaos Control!"
Light surrounded them, and when it cleared, they were up in Ice Cap. "Now where did I leave the boards..." Sonic muttered, looking around.

Ghost watched as the wolves scattered and Sonic and Val departed. He let out a sigh, and slowly made his way towards the Master Emerald.
