You asked to talk to the creature, it seem like there was a language barier between the two but they still manage to comunicate fairly well. You notice it looked like a mix between an otter and an eel as it came closer.

It had a silk like fur on his head neck and upper back where it was letting place to a eel like skin. It's belly was protected by scales. It's body was shaped like the one of an otter but it had fins on his back and ears, a long eel like tail and of course it had small limbs to climb and grip things.

I try say hello to the creature, wondering at the same time whether the creature will understand me or not
It didn't seem like it could, however he did came closer and was now sniffing your feets.
