i rise to my feet, shaking off the wooziness from having slammed face first into the deck of the ship. "what's in all these containers?" i ask, looking around at the stacks of shipping containers on the ship. "oh, we made some of them into mini homes, the rest of them either have building materials or supplies like food and water" one of the women shrugs. "so dope" i whisper, grinning like an idiot.

Maple stayed silent just watching them talk "besides it's a long story" she said

"so now what?" i ask "how long until we reach this "free city" or what ever it is?" i ask. "we'll be there in the morning. why don't ya'll go to sleep, you look tired. " she says, pulling the doors to the nearest shipping container open. the inside has been retrofitted with beds and hammocks, and i climb into the nearest hammock, ready to sleep like the dead.

"no it's okay" she says resting her hands under her head looking at her "why can't you sleep?" She asked curiously

"i have no idea" i tell her, sighing "i think it's the adrenaline. or being excited."
