She snuck behind the one that took the kitsune and threw the water from the canteen onto it. "Take that, you portable volcano."

The lava monster let's go of the kitsune in surprise. It turns on you and tries to get you.
The kitsune instantly turns and puts a nice thick layer of ice on her tail before facing the lava monster. It gets a face full of snow.
Zach was now being chased by a lava monster, who had decided that the used-to-be Welsh dragon was annoying. "How...? How are you faster than me?" Zach asks the lava monster, who was catching up to him. "Oh, that's right. Maybe if I had wings or something I would be able to fly away. But do I have them any more? NOooooo. The Nimmt had to take them." Zach keeps just out of the monster's reach.

She went back to the part of the river where the ice had once been and took some more water. "It's hotter than before, but it'll be okay." She ran back to the monster and threw more waters on it.

Most of the lava monsters had taken a hint and were running away on short, stubby lava legs. The one that had had a hold on the kitsune was among those fleeing. There was only one left. The one chasing Zach.

She took some more water out of the river and started running after the lava monster. When she got at a distance that she could throw the water at, she threw it onto it. "Stop chasing Zach!"

The monster turns to you, looking shocked. It grumbles questioningly as if asking you a question without using words because no monster likes to use words of they don't have to.
Zach takes this moment to catch his breath.

"Why are you so shocked? Did you not expect someone to save Zach? Because if not, that's idiotic." She folded her hands and looked at the monster's face.

The monster wrings it's hands, mumbling to itself and glancing at Zach. "Hungry. Want new home." The monster explains, looking to you hopefully.

She felt herself feel sorry for the monster. "Aw, is that why you were trying to make this river a death hot tub? I suggest, instead of going on other people's land, you go out into the forest where creatures and possible people reside. Then you can have a new home and food."

The lava monster claps its hands joyfully. "Thank you! No more dark musty place for me. Thank you!" It scampers to the forest to see if there are any hot springs - or other water sources - in the forest.
The kitsune sighs, "Thank you, strangers. I'm Jayden. I best be getting back home. Make sure that everything isn't chaotic any more. If you ever need a paw, just call for me." She says, smiling. In a few moments, she was bounding back in the direction of her home.
