Kate went over and grabbed D's hand, not saying anything

D stopped,gently squeezing Kate's hand thankfully. She opened her eyes and gave a small smile.

"You okay?" She whispered, a sad smile responding to D's smile

D almost shook her head but instead just gave the faintest nod.

"Are you full?" She fretted. "In can make you more food if you want. OH NO!" She ran back into the kitchen, just barely keeping her food from burning

D jumped a bit,flinching at the sudden cry. She was so used to be yelled at.

She quickly got the food onto a plate and turned off the burners. "Whew! That was close," she said, taking her fork off the counter and going back over to D

D had sat down on the ground,seeming pleased that it wasn't cement. She had her tail curled around her talons and her hands playing gently with a small purple flame.

She couldn't help but ask the question that came out of her mouth. "Did you do that a lot when you were in your cell?" She instantly regretted asking that question.

D's shoulders stiffened but she nodded,her arms quickly going around her torso for a brief moment as the flame flickered out. She held her breath as she calmed herself tho. "Yes."
