"Think that the others are nearby," Desta changes subjects.

Fidelis finaly outruns the demon horse when it gets it legs tangled up in some vines.
"Look away, " Jax says, and I do, burying my face in Fidelis's neck, and I hear a click then a bang as Jax shoots the demon with the small revolver he always keeps on his person. I then hear the rustling of leaves as he covers up the body. He then picks me up and sets me on the ground, checking me for any serious injury.
I'm covered in scrapes from branches and Angel is cowering in my arms, but other than that we're all alright.

Loki startles when the shot goes off.
Desta looks at Maverick, "We should find out where that came from."

Ghost and Val also startle at the shot, rearing. Maverick nodded. "Definitely. They could be in trouble."

"Calm down Val," Desta tries to sooth Val, "Calm Loki easy boy."

Victoria gets thrown to the ground. Valerie calms down, however, but when she sees Ghost still freaking out she starts freaking out again

Desta quietly hums to the three horses., "Are you alright Victoria?"

In the distance, I can hear the sound of horses panicking.
"Do you think they're in trouble?" I ask Jax.
"I'm not sure, but either way we should stay here. I can almost guarantee they heard that shot and are on their way," he said calmly, sitting down.

Loki rears up again and tries to calm down.

"Yeah," she said, standing and dusting herself off. She tried to help calm the horses.
