The first wolf barked, staping the ground with a paw a couple times, then growled angerly, as if trying to tell her something. The other wolves (There were nine total, all surrounding her) looked at eachother, some fired up, others confused, though one looked dissappointed.

Val was very confused and a little scared, "Look, I don't want to cause any trouble and I don't speak wolf." she said hopping up to the branch.

The wolf growled again, then pounced--

But never made contact, as a blue streak barreled into it. "CHILL!"

Val was surprised by this, she went higher out of the wolves reach, "What's their problem?" she called down to Sonic.

"It's not their problem; It's Ghost's. What did you do to him that made him hire wolves as guards?" Sonic asked as he calmed down the pack, who seemed rather happy he was here; one of them tried to lick his face, and Sonic laughed. "Hey D.J.! You missed me, huh?"

Val sighed, "I wanted to see his true form and might have dove down to the ground in an attempt to see it." she said a bit nervous that the hedgehog would explode with anger.

Sonic stared at her for a long time...

And he laughed aloud.

"HahaHA!! I was starting to wonder when you would resort to something like that! Just don't do it again, kay? It's not worth breaking a limb over," Sonic smiled. "Okay, I won't tell you who our etheral friend is, but I can answer some other questions, okay?"

Val was very surprised that Sonic was not mad, "Uh, ok, well, why did he send those wolves?" she asked not wanting to come down just yet.

"I'm sure he would've dealt with you himself if he could show you his true form. He was probably just angry or hurt and wanted some time alone, y'know, without people sticking their noses in his bussiness," Sonic replied.

Val leaned back and hung upside down, "Nothing about this place makes sense." she sighed.
