Soo I see what I am chasing after so I try to shout out a warning to Josh as I try to redirect my pounce into the lake instead of on Josh.

I look up and see the panther. Burning with a need to protect Rex I place him on the ground and leap up, meeting the panther mid-air so that we both tumble into the lake.

With strong stokes I swim quickly to shore and shake the water out of my fur before standing protectively over my pup, watching the panther in the water.

Some instinct takes over and I leap into the water and drag the fox away, leaving Rex on the bank for a moment.
