i look around to make sure there are no rabbits in the water

You don't see any rabbits, but you notice a small bird stuck in a fishing net

i rush over to untangle the bird

The bird chirps and tries to fly out of the net, but it looks like its wing is cut.

i pick the bird up to see how wounded it is

Most of the bird's feathers have fallen off of the wing and a small but deep cut is on the end of the wing.

i look around to see if anything nearby could have done this

You don't see anything except the rising water.

i carry the bird to go to the town to see if someone can heal the bird keeping an eye out for rabbits

All the shops are opened, but no one walks the streets
