Miles sobbed. "Why-why did I leave them?" He asked "I should have stayed with them."

Only one thing came to mind His parents she thought." I don't really know what your home life was like or why you even left your parents, but if your regretting you decision so much, I could come with you to see them or at the very least help you arrange something so that you could go see them. Is that ok?" She asked wiping his tears away with her wrist, an action she wasn't used to doing.

"Their dead." Miles whispered. "They died the night I left home, and it was my fault."

Luna looked at him confused "but if you left the day before then how do you know?" She asked confusion showing in her voice

"Because I set it up for them to." He whispered. "I set the wire, and the candle as well as dousing the house in gasoline. When they woke up they would head for the kitchen which pulled the trip wire and knocked the candle over then the house would be nothing but a memory. I saw the smoke from a distance away. When I returned later I found both of their bodies, frozen in time."

whoah Luna thought surprised "why did you do that?" She asked lightly now curious as to why he would do that did they abuse him?

"After what they did to me, they deserved it." Miles said his eyes growing blank. "Most of the dogs here are and were treated better then I was."

Luna hugged him not knowing what to say. She held him close and rested her chin on his shoulder "I promise I'll treat you better than they did." She said quietly

Miles leaned into her embrace. "That's more than anyone else has ever done for me."

"Well brace yourself cause I'll be doing much more for you." Luna joked lightly hoping it would cheer him up. She hugged him a little tighter too.
