She mounted Aria and ignored Zach. "That's because we've only defeated one." With venom in her voice, she made Aria start trotting forward.

Zach nods, "Right." He urged his horse into a trot to keep up with you.
The day is hot and trees give welcome shade. You come across a river, but the water, which might have been clear and cool before, is now discolored and boiling. A ways down, you see lava monsters trying to turn the water into a habitat in which they can live.

"Of course. More monsters. Okay obviously we need water, or ice, we yet need the opposite of fire and lava. That's should either kill them or convince them to go back into the labyrinth." She dismounted Aria and tied her to a tree. "Do we have either of those?"

"We have the boiling water in front of us." Zach says as he discounts and ties Zach next to Aria. "I can't do ice. I can do fire... And I can fly."

"But this water is boiling! We'd have to manually cool it down. Do we even have time for that?" She started spiraling and tried to think of ways to cool it down faster.

"I know ways to make water boil faster. I don't know how to cook it down. I'm not really helpful in this situation." Zach notes, he takes a knee next to the river and dips a finger on to see how hot it is. He pulls it back with a hiss. "Yeah. I think any creature that used to live here is dead by now."
A shadow flies overhead. "Monsters, I will give you one chance to leave. If you do not I will have to destroy you." The lava monsters and Zach both look up, squinting against the bright light of the sun. A kitsune was using her wind powers to keep her afloat and out of the monster's reach, using the light of the sun to her advantage.
The lava monsters grumble and turn back to their work. The kitsune sighs.
"You leave me no choice. I have to save my family's farm." She says. A moment later, a line of ice is shooting from her paws, aimed at the lava monsters, running over the water to keep it from boiling and potentially killing things.

"Well, that just made things a lot easier," she whispered. She decided to touch the water, to see how hot it truly was.

The water was cooler now that the ice had melted in it. It was still hotter than normal water ought to be, still got enough for you to cook with it if you wanted to.
The lava monsters grumble and try to get the water hotter again. The kitsune tries harder, but one of the monsters threw a glob of lava at her. The kitsune dives, gets to close to the lava monsters, and is snatched by one of them. The kitsune keeps on fighting the fire with ice, her tail the only thing currently being effected by the lava monster's fiery grip.

"Oh my gods! Zach, what can we do? The water is still warm, but it's cooler than lava so if we throw some of it on them it might not be totally useless." She grabbed her canteen, which had been a little empty for a while and filled it with the warmer water.

Zach doesn't look too eager to touch the water again. "I can stay out of this mess." He mutters. He tried to see if the ice had gotten anywhere other than the water and lava monsters. Upon seeing some, he goes over and packs it into a snowball. "Hey! Ugly!" All the lava monsters looked at him. He spikes the snowball to one, and it hit it between the eyes. The lava monster blubbers, trying to get the ice off. Zach was busy making another snowball and throwing it at another. After two, however, he ran out of ice.
The kitsune notices him trying to help, and sends a flurry of snow his way before continuing to ice the lava monsters in place.
"I don't actually like snow and ice, thank you." Zach says when the snow gets on him. He continues making snow balls.
