I looked at the road. "Ya'll don't even have cars!" I said. "How do you get around if you don't want to walk? I mean you said you had mages amd wizards and whaynot why don't you use one of them?" I asked hoping to find some answers.

I smiled. "What, do you think of me as useless?" Placing my basket full of groceries and carefully wrapped meat down, I shapeshifted into my wolf form.

"Of course I don't think you're useless!" I said in shock. "You're a werewolf?" I asked. He didnt look like a werewolf from human lore, but so far most of the human fantasy has chalked up to be false.

I shifted back. "No, a werewolf is different in this world. They can't control their shifting. I can," I said. "It used to be different. The form, I mean. I used to shift into a shadow wolf whenever I was angry or distressed." I involuntarily shuddered. "I'm no longer one, thankfully." I decided to tell him the story, but let him think he was revealing it. "Although that had a cost, which is so major that it still affects me today."

I was lucky that the memories were no longer painful enough not to tell.

"Are you okay?" I asked. "So what are you now?" I ask.slowly not wanting to upset him. Or cause him any pain.

"Just a normal shifter, at the cost of become a villain to humans and a dark mage," I said. "I'm no longer a dark mage, which is good." I could still the happiness jolt I got from making the shadow inside me disappear. The darkness that clouded my normal judgment, at the cost of feeling mad at humans because they banished me and held me away from them.

She nodded placing the box with the others " I was packing to have to move after today, but it looks like its gonna be bit difficult... " she said her ears drooping a bit still a little bummed over the ball

" well you found me !" she said with a bright smile in an attempts to cheer him up

"Why are you supposed to move?" I ask. I grab a spray bottle and spray her ears. "Nope not allowed to be sad Kida." I tell her.

I smiled. "Yeah I did didnt I?" I ask. My tail waggging. "Did I hit you?" I ask unsure if I did.
