Tails looked at Sonic, as if expecting him to do something to brighten the mood. Arn't you gonna try to keep the peace? The look in his light blue eyes seemed to ask.

I saw the way Tails was looking at me, I nodded, "How bout we do something to pass the time?" I asked trying to lighten the mood, Amy nodded, "Sure we could play spin the bottle." she said looking at me dreamily, I shook my head quickly, "Nah, how bout we play checkers instead?" I said not wanting to play spin the bottle, Amy took out her hammer, "How bout smash the Hedgehog?" Amy said angrily.

Amy was furious that Knuckles had even said that, she raised her hammer and brought it down very close to Knuckles tail, but it landed on his foot, I sighed and banged my head on the table.

Knuckles let out a sharp yelp and sprang backward. "What gives?!" He exclaimed. He took a step forward, but winced at a flash of pain. "Urf..." He glared at Amy, though there was something in that look besides rage...
Tails sat bolt upright. "Amy! That wasn't helpful!"

Tails flattened his ears, but stood his ground. "Amy, settle down. No hammers bigger then 2 feet in the house," He said calmly.
Knuckles edged (Well, more of a limp, Knuckles realized, much to his dismay.) back, growling softly, dark eyes shining.
