A strong prideful smile spread over his lips as he led his team off stage to join the other teams. "Oh I never really though of me self as a leader, I hope I do alright. It would be a shame to lead you all to failure instead of leading you to victory." Alastair said his accent really showing through. He looked to River a big smile on his face. "It's quite alright, I ain't hurtin' from it I should live to see another day." The joke he made was light yet it made Martin atleast smile.
Molly hid behind him from the man and woman. She didn't really like them yet and Martin was in the same boat as her. He was not a fan of being put in a group to be the youngest there, not to mention a group with a leader that had a funny hard to understand accent.

(I always like to be pinged! And Homera, I take no offense :D That's just the way that character is!)
Valiant: He takes a good look at his partner and smiles wide. "That sounds good to me. My strengths are my strategic thinking and being able to scout ahead..." Nala meows and lands on his shoulder, purring. "And my weakness is my loyalty. I will never turn against my friends unless what they are doing is truly evil.
Jenny: "So...Alistair. Tell us more about yourself." Her feet drop to the ground and she resumes walking. She was dying to know more about the guy, and knew that Martin was probably worried about having him as a team leader.
Franz: Still dumbfounded and wondering about Reed's choice, she continues down a hallway with her team. I hope I don't screw up... Her head droops, but only slightly.

"Well me ma and pa both live back in Ireland, in their cottage on the hill. I make sure and send them letters every Friday, and call them on Sunday's right after chruch so the rest of their day will be happy and they can get on knowin' I'm alright. I never really had many friends, though I plan to change that now seeing that we all stuck here as a group. I don't have any siblings, meanin' I was a single child all my life with no one to fight with or play with 'sides the neighbors though they were a bit shady of folks. The reason I came here is I figured it would be a fun experience and that I could meet some people from different places." Alastair said his smile still all over his face. "Looks like I'm already doing a pretty good job."

Jenny: "I would definitely say that you're off to a great start!" Assured that he was a good person, she began to relax a bit. "How does such an interesting person like you have the ability to say that you have no friends?"

Angel smiled at Valiant, "loyalty is a strength, not a weekness." She valued loyalty among the highest qualities a person could have. (Note she's also pretty loyal.) "We're a team now. We must be loyal to eachother."

(I'M BACK GUYS!)
Eiqua stared at the groups chosen, fairly pleased with them all. She hadn't said a word herself about the groups though, knowing each held their own potential, and it would take time for them to grow to like being a team. If they didn't they would most likely fail at the least, the worst being that the whole group could die due to a lack of a bond in the group. Teamwork was essential in this school after all. It would take years before any of them could become capable of fighting about anything on their own. Then there was magic....
It wasn't taught as often as it once was. Everyone thought (and still thinks) that advancements in technology could easily counter the magic that comes naturally to many foes they faced. And what did all those fancy guns and other devices do? Simply make those enemies tougher to kill. The Arcanian had seen it herself. More and more of the Grimm were becoming tougher to kill in a single shot of a gun, proof that sometimes the 'old-school' swords, lances, and warhammers were just as useful as before. Seeing so many students with such old fashioned weapons made her happy. Technology hadn't taken over yet.
Magic was tough to teach though because of the reliance on weapons and technology nowadays. Why try to tap into your hidden potential when you have a shield to block about anything, and a weapon that doubles as a gun? Eiqua was there just to prove how wrong such an idea was. What use is a shield if the fire a beast spews from its mouth melts it? What use is a sword when lightning cast forth by a mighty Thunderbird makes it more of a lightning rod? She was there to teach those who didn't know magic how to use it, at least defensively. As an Arcanian though, she didn't expect miracles. Very few outside of her species could use such seemingly boundless magical energy, and even fewer to the extent she had learned. Still, that didn't mean she couldn't get surprised. She had seen a student learn how to use powerful magic after walking into her class not knowing that more than the Grimm could use it.
Eiqua kept thinking deeply about her future students and the world they grew up in, keeping her ears open for Reed's next words, likely to be aimed at the teachers.
(Sorry for the long post. Just trying to make up for my absence! ^.^*)

(your character teaches magic? I have a unicorn named Angel who would love to be in that class! I think my 1/4 cat girl might be able to do some simple stuff too. Idk what sort of lore we have going on.)

(I'm the same with the lore, but I'm just trying to throw a few ideas out there. Also, after some chatting, I'm pretty sure teaches Magic as her major class, but also teaches potions to students who want to learn it during their free time.)

Reed - Reed walked off stage to his teachers. "You all can start getting ready for tomorrow."
Anani - As Anani walked into the dorm room she gasped, "It's so bare!"
Takeo - " Franz, Stop douting your self. You will be a great leader"
Kane - Kane nodded to Angel,"So your unicorn. Cool"
Archi - Archi walked into the dorm room, "We only need 3 beds so I can take the mattress of the 4th."

"I guess people are just scared of me is all. It may be me accent." Alastair said leading them to their dorm rooms. "Me and Martin will take one and you and River get the other." He said pointing at the two rooms. "Unless you want to stil with your teams."
Abe nodded and walked to his classroom. It was going to be a long year, he could tell.
