"Sure, whatever." I say, then bite into my steak. It was good, but it didn't taste as fresh as what I caught in the woods. I quickly finish the steak and wait impatiently for them to finish.

"On three alright. One-two...three." The rescuer said letting the doc at the same time Miles did. "Alright just follow my lead." They walked towards the kennel and laid the dog down on the blankets. "There, that should make him feel better." The rescuer looked to Miles. "You must be new here, I'm Zac by the way." He offered a hand for Miles to shake.

"Miles." He said shaking the head before sitting in the kennel with the dog and petting his head.

"Nice to meet you. Hey if you need anything just give me a call alright?" Zac said before leaving. "My numbers on my time card!" He called out before shutting the door leaving Miles alone with the dog.

Luna arrived at the apartment. She unlocked the door and went inside, She called a Chinese restaurant and ordered some pad tai and sushi. She sat down and began to watch TV while she waited for her lunch. After a while the food came and she paid the delivery man a little extra as a tip. She ate one box of the pad tai, and one box of the sushi. She got up and put the other two boxes of food in the fridge for Miles and left a note on the table telling him where it was. She went into her room and got a book, She then laid down on her bed preparing to read I'm not that tired she thought as she opened her book. But after about a page she fell fast asleep.

Miles petted the dog in a pattern, slowly stroking its head. He began to doze off when he caught himself and tried to stay away. After a few more time he finally let sleep come and rested for awhile.

Luna woke up she was covered in sweat. She couldn't remember what she had dreamed about but she knew it wasn't good. She swung her legs over the side of her bed and looked at her clock. slept for two hours she thought as she went into the bathroom to take a shower. She threw her sweaty clothes in her dirty laundry basket and hopped into the shower. When she was done she dried off and put on her second pair of work clothes. She looked in the fridge to see if Miles had come home and eaten his lunch but it was still there. She sighed and got a cup of water. She drank it thirstily and put it in the sink. She then got Miles's lunch out of the fridge and began to heat it up for him. I wonder what the dream was about She thought as she watched the food spin slowly in the microwave.

The microwave beeped and Luna took out the food. She put it in a paper bag along with a bottle of water and left. locking the door behind her she began to walk back towards the shelter I've napped long enough, and besides Miles needs his lunch She thought as she pushed open the doors "Hey Miranda I'm back." She said "Do you know where Miles is?" Miranda saw her and frowned "Luna you should still be resting. Bad dreams?" she asked "Yeah but i can't remember them." Luna said quickly "Your boyfriend is still in the operation room." she said turning back to her computer "thanks!" Luna said and walked into the operation room. She saw Miles asleep on the floor and smiled. She looked next to him and saw the dog beggining to move. "Shhh it's ok." she whispered to him as his eyes fluttered open and he started to whine "shhh i'll get you some food alright?" she said and she turned and fished out some dog treats from a jar in one of the corners. She knelt down and held it out to him. "Here take some, don't chew too loud though or you'll wake up Miles."

He was home, but how? It had been so long ago, how was it still here? Miles shook as he opened the door to the house, but there was nothing there nothing at all. The cabin was empty, so utterly empty. He took a step inside when he saw it. There in the corner was a women huddled over her feet muttering something to herself. Miles froze in fear as he realized it was his mother. "Mo-mom?" He asked afraid. The woman stopped muttering and turned slowly to him. Miles nearly screamed when he saw that her face was gone, being replaced with a bleached skull. "We've been waiting Miles." She croked. "We all have been waiting, why did you leave us all alone?" Miles shook his head and backed away only to fall as something grabbed his legs. The woman crawled closer to him. "We are all so happy you are home now." She said grabbing his leg and clawing it. Miles struggled to get free as the woman clawed her way up his legs to his torso. Her fingers were like daggers digging into his abdomen cutting him to pieces. "We missed you, baby." She croked again jumping at his neck. Miles bolted awake screaming as he did. "Get away from me! I didn't do that to you! Please I'm sorry!"

Luna jumped surprised by the sudden screaming. The dog whined and Luna ran over to Miles and grabbed him by the shoulders "Miles it's ok It was just a dream see it's me Luna." She said trying to calm him down

Miles retreated to the corner of the kennel and hugged his knees to his chest. "It-it was so real..." He cried, letting the tears stream down his face. "I was so afraid..."

Luna went over to him and hugged him tightly. "Shh Miles it's ok now whatever happened... Your safe now." She said and began to stroke the back of his head. "You're here with me everything's alright."
