Ray brightens. "Great! So, I know Sam and Ryan haven't been here longer than you, they've only been here as long as I have which is very short amount of time. I'm not approaching Elias again for at least one hundred years, so not him. And I can't ask you because you've been here as long as you have. Asking random people sounds like a great plan to get answer." They pause after realizing they could have just thought it to themself and not listed everything out loud.

Ray smiles and blushes at the laugh and they try to forget about liking Jack so much. Jack didn't return the feelings so they might as well forget about their own. Ray spots someone and runs up to her, stumbling to a stop next to her. "Hi! I have a question."
"And I'm sure I have an answer. Ask away, young one." The guard smiles at Ray, Jack, then back to Ray.
"So, do I have to stay here or can I stay at home, but come here when I'm needed?" Ray asks.
"Oh... I don't think anyone's asked that question before. However, I'm sure you can as long as you're on time." The guard nods.
"Great! Thank you." Ray returns to Jack's side and tells him the news.
