Kate could help herself as she reached out to touch the horns, as if she thought they weren't real

D stayed still for her,flinching out of habit but smiling still. They where real,real as the sun shining over a field in summer. And they where natural on D as well,not fake."Kate...like horns?" She asked softly. The horns texture was smooth and sleek,their shape a graceful curve up and then down slightly,like a stream of smoke.

"Yeah, I do. I remember when I was younger, I always wanted a horn in the middle of my forehead. I was obsessed with unicorns."

D giggled,nodding that she understood. "Knew someone...had that....but...lab people saw off...take....she not alive anymore...gone,fell asleep.Then taken away.But D know why." She said. "Not...best thing."

"Oh." She didn't really want to think about what had happened to the creature. "That's sad..." She commented solemnly

D gently patted Kate's shoulder. "But if had stayed...worse would happen...not to bad. But things...at moment okay. D sorry."

"It's okay, D. I just don't like it when people do awful things to harmless people, like you," she sighed with a shake of her head.

She shifted,biting her lower lip. "Um...D not harmless....can kill....if angry enough." She said softly.

"D, anyone can get so mad that they want to kill someone. Even I can. Besides, when was the last time you were angry enough to kill someone?"

D's face paled. "uh...." She didn't want to answer that,clearly.
