"Bye Razor!" Blaze said cheerfully before walking back to her cage.
Thief sauntered back into his cage, but he had barely eaten. He was still upset about what the griffin had said the other day.

"Oh yeah, Razor I wanted to ask you, do you want to train with me?" Blaze yelled to him right before she got back to her cage.

(Just pinging everyone so they know I exist.)
Urne trotted across the barren ground dotted in shrubs. Today was one of travel, and the land she had covered looked mostly the same with different places for the shrubs and rocks. She hadn't seen any carcasses or even living creatures worth hunting all evening, and even worse, she couldn't smell fresh scents. As the evening sunset disappeared and became replaced by the soft glow of the moon though, she found herself in an even worse scenario. Normally, she would have found at least a couple stray hyena's to form a temporary group with, but there was none in sight. As the icing to the horrible cake though, Urne felt something prick her skin, and within seconds she fell to the ground unconscious.
She woke to a cold stone floor like the ones in human villages. However, this stone wasn't dusted in sand, dirt, or even crawling with insects. She noticed it was still partially dark where she was, lit dimly by some overhead lights. She had been caged by the looks of it, and by the lack of sound around her, she was alone. The air around her reeked with the smells of so many animals and burning scent of whatever the humans that had captured her carried around. She had heard of pens that humans used to display animals like herself to the public. Was this one of them?
She wasn't awake much longer though. Eventually, the humans returned, putting her back into her forced sleep state.
Urne didn't feel like she was unconscious nearly as long as the first time when she woke up again. Her body felt stiff this time, and she didn't feel the soft fur on her back touching the hard surface she was on. Her tail and face felt tight, as if she was covered in a mask of dried mud. She pawed at her face, thinking maybe that was exactly what was wrong with her, ignoring her strange surroundings. When she failed to pry whatever was on her face off, she tried her tail next, hoping that since she could bite it, it would crumble off easier. However, her tail...it wasn't the same.
She barely had time to examine her tail before she fell unconscious a third time, again from the human's bidding.
She woke from her groggy sleep a third time to the sounds of other animals. They had varied emotions that she didn't really focus on as she awoke, more concerned about what she last saw before falling unconscious again. She stared at her tail, trying to figure out exactly what it was that she found so familiar and strange about it. Then it hit her. It was a scorpion's tail. But what was it doing on her? Why did her face and other parts of her body feel so tight? She sat confused, attempting to regain her composure. Maybe some of the other animals could fill her in on what the heck was going on later. She just needed to recover from what she just went through.
(Sorry it's so long. Just trying to catch up.)
