"The eggs didn't have any life in them. Promise. I would never cook an egg that would have hatched something."

"Phew." D let out a breath,her wings shivering slightly. "Good...so,no live...life...in eggs." She said,nodding to reassure herself and put the fact for sure in her head.

Kate nodded. "Thats right."

She smiled,then looked at the food again,not sure what to do. She never had eaten any actual food,just tried but only ended up with her fangs stabbing her tongue more often and so her talons shuffled a bit.

"Oh! I forgot the fork." She grabbed a fork. "Here. Try with this."

D carefully took the fork,but confusion on her face as her pupils shifted back and forth from faint slits to slightly rounder like a kittens. "F...fork.Fork...." She said softly,working on getting the word right.

"Yeah. You eat with it like this." She got a fork of her own and showed D how to eat with a fork

D's eyes widened and she smiled,her tail wagging carefully and clapping her hands a bit. She seemed to like the idea of normal eating if it didn't mean anything shoved down her throat. She carefully tried at what Kate had done. She actually did pretty well.

"Good job!" Kate praised. "If I didn't know any better, I would think you've used a fork before."

D bounced a bit,happy. She smiled,her golden eyes glittering as her blond hair bounced as she did. Her black horns showing now in growing light against the soft blond.
