Quickly rushing as I greeted Flute, I rush to follow Daemon into the ally. I clutch my hockey stick, preparing my self to get ready to bash some zombie brains. Perfect life? I could never be happier. Or not, if you weren't reading my sarcasm - though I do enjoy spending =quality= time with my friends~

I was happy to see the other 3, maybe this will help us last longer. But the zombie wave definitely wasn't good. I looked to Tal, blinking, but steadfast, and dashed into the alley behind Dae. If there was really something worse than the zombies in our direction, I trusted that we all had weapons to at least put up a fight.

((*Faints* You wouldn't know it by looking at me, but I am WAY out of shape and just had to take so many stairs... T.T))

I am relieved at finding the others, though I cringed when our dear fallen companion was mentioned, and jump slightly when the loud voice boomed for us to go into the alley- which I immediately follow, simply because that loud voice was going to attract all of the undead to them and I didn't want to be between the two of them. However I wasn't going in completely trusting as I hold my SMG in a ready-to-fire position.

((*Sighs at the poor reply* I haven't been feeling very inspired lately. >.<))

After a few seconds your re-united group takes off down the alley weapons ready for anything around the two corners ahead of you. the voice rings out again "alright, give us a second and we'll talk to you" wondering what that could be you think of continuing onward, however you hear something that gives you pause, all of you turn toward the street. Talyn being the closest one to the street peeks out to see what's happening and immediately jumps backward into the alley "DOWN" she yells, flinging herself to the ground and covering her head with her arms. Without thinking everyone does the same, and just in time to feel the impact of two missiles, you all stand up, thankfully with your hearing intact as you see flames and smoke coming from the main street just outside the alleyway. you look up to see a helicopter descending just outside the alleyway strangely making almost no noise, even being this close to you. A rope flies over the side of the chopper, the end landing just outside the entrance to the alley another rope flies out the other side, two people begin descending the ropes dressed in back uniforms that look heavily plated along with helmets that fully cover their faces. as they hit the ground they immediately have their submachine guns up and pointed in the direction of the smoke just a few feet away, all of you simply stand there looking at these two strangers. After a few seconds they put their guns down and approach you, the one on the left begins talking, apparently being female "I am Sergeant Chambers, mobile task force epsilon, this is my partner Lieutenant Redfield" she pauses to indicate the person beside her who begins talking in a male voice "We can take two of you back to our forward command post to later be transferred to our main base of operations, the rest of you will have to travel there if you wish, its 8 miles east of here. Civilians are currently being tended to there, have any of you been bitten or scratched by one of the infected?"

now then, you have a few choices to make,
1. who (if anyone) do you want to send with these strange people
2.that helicopter does look big enough for 5 people at least, you could try to take it over by force and have all of you get out of here to go wherever you want, it also probably has a load of weapons and ammo on it too along with other medical supplies.
3. (only for talyn and flute as the rest of you technically don't know) do you reveal the bite? perhaps they can help you or perhaps they'll just shoot you...
4. or you could simply ask some questions.

I panted after the quick change of situations. Our reunited group was saved from the zombies, but now we were in a different territory now. One that will be hostile to me...because of my bite...

I eyed the other 3 that just joined Tal and I. We didn't catch up to tell them that Cerberus died in action. Nor that I had a skirmish and contact with a zombie on the way here. It's been a few hours, probably, and nothing bad has happened.

But I was cautious. Just because of bad luck, I could be segregated from the group. I could be relieved of my weapon, tossed out of the helicopter, and probably (maybe for the sake of safety for everyone else). It threw a fit in my stomach. Like I wanted to do something violent if I was going to be judged for my zombie scar...bite...whatever it was. Even I couldn't remember the extent of the wound.

The wound was easy to hide though. I folded my arms, and the scar wasn't visible. "Is there an antidote? One of our friends got bitten. They're kind of self-conscious about it, but we just had some close calls with the zombies, including one casualty, and we were lucky to get out alive." I sounded concerned, worried for our group.
Hidden under it all, I was worried for myself. I was just as human as everyone else.

mini response:
The Lieutenant responds to Flute's question "the only real antidote is either to remove the infection from the blood stream by cutting off the infected limb, or destruction of the brain, and if you want to stay with this infected friend of yours, be sure to keep them under surveillance at all times, there's a 0.03% chance that this person could be immune to the virus. Either way an infected individual will not show any signs of infection till after their dead which happens in around 4-6 hours and is when the virus hits the brain and shuts down all major thought processes along with the heart, exactly 14 seconds later the virus fully instates itself in the host and will then attack any living being around it, we still cannot determine why the infected don't attack each other but we do know it doesn't have to do with scent or sight. Back to your question, I assume that you're wondering if we will kill your infected member now, to that the answer is no, we take no part in civilian activities except to extract and protect them, so unless your friend wants us to kill them and save the rest of you the trouble then we will not involve ourselves with this, however if you plan on sending an infected individual with us, we ask that you tell us so that we can safely contain the infected." His face is still hidden behind his helmet, which means that you cant tell what his emotions are, he could be lying or he could be completely honest.

edit: also just fyi I was asked why they fired off missiles and why the chopper was silent and thats because they just blew up the horde that was near you and the chopper is of the stealth category.

I hit the deck as soon as Talyn yelled to take cover. A huge explosion blasted not too far from us. Rock as smoke fell from the air as I started to get my wits about me. Standing up I noticed a silent helicopter overhead and 2 strange and heavily armored people jumped out and landed near our recently united group. There's no way we could take them... The heavily armored people turned and walked to us but staying at a reasonably distance. They lowered their weapons and so did I, tucking my silenced pistol into my sash. The unknown people introduced themselves as Sergeant Chambers and Lieutenant Redfield. I made a slight frown seeing how their "get-up" was completely different than the ones who rescued us in the beginning. The Lieutenant started to talk,

"We can take two of you back to our forward command post to later be transferred to our main base of operations, the rest of you will have to travel there if you wish, its 8 miles east of here. Civilians are currently being tended to there, have any of you been bitten or scratched by one of the infected?"

Eight miles east of here? I wondered, putting my hand on my chin. I was about to ask them a question when Flute stepped forward, her arms crossed and stated there is an infected among us and asked if there was an antidote. I was kind of relieved when the Lieutenant responded there was a way to stop the infection, though what is losing a limb compared to being "un-dead" anyway? Then my attention was back to the fact one of us is infected. I knew I wasn't infected although injured and none of my team mates were. Poor Ren was stranded ontop of a roof the whole time and Echo didn't show any injuries. I squinted my eyes and folded my ears to my head looking at the two we reunited. 'One of them?' I thought.

The Lieutenant finished his explanation so I returned to focus on the new people standing in front of us again. "You guys look different... Different than the others we saw before." The 2 heavily armored people turned their heads to me. "Yeah! They were wearing military uniforms and instructed we go to the hospital in the middle of the city... That's where we were headed. Anyway, who ARE you people? What is the condition of your 'Command Center' and," I gulped only wanting to satisfy my own curiosity, "how did this whole epidemic start?"

((Wheeee! So long! xD))

Safely...contain?

As Dae rattled off her questions, I was in a daze. I didn't want to add the instant question "what do you mean by contain?" But I was cautious. The scar was on my arm, so I'd have about half my arm to work with, along with my other.

((Which arm was I scarred? LOL, hope it isn't my good one))

I quietly stared out the window of the side of the helicopter. I wondered if everyone would want to kill me based on my wound. I stared at the other 3 that just joined us: they didn't see what went on when Tal, Cerb, and I had to work together for the short while that we've been together. Dae seemed more serious for the survival of her (and her friends I guess, but she's probably selfish and wants to take the extra precaution and off me anyways), but the others seemed to just...straggle, I guess. Tal probably would want to wait and see for sure. I have no doubt she'd kill me if I turned. I'd want that, to be offed when I turn into a zombie. Not when I'm still human.

I had 4-6 hours (or less) to prove whether I would turn into a zombie or not. Maybe they could just drop me on a rooftop all alone for 6 hours with a gun and some food and check up on me whether I turned or not.

Oh wait. That's called quarantine.

Anyways, after Dae rattled off her questions, I also asked mine after some thought:
"What do you mean by contain? If said infected were to show being immune after 6 hours, would they be able to come back to your safety area?"

mini response 2:
"the hospital?" Redfield says looking at Daemon "and they were wearing military uniforms? Are you absolutely sure?" "yes" Daemon says definitively Redfield immediately uses one finger to press the side of his head "Omega, this is Epsilon, we have five civilians here that claim men in U.S. military outfits have instructed them to go to the hospital. We suspect that they're soldiers that have gone AWOL, can you confirm?" He lifts his finger from the side of his head, likely getting some sort of response. After a few seconds Redfield puts his finger back on his helmet and begins talking again "Confirmed, relay the info to alpha for execution of orders." He puts his hand back on his gun and begins talking to Daemon again "Thank you for the information, it seems that they are rogue soldiers that fled the military when the infection started. However I have no Idea why they would want you to go there. As for us, I already told you that we're a mobile task force, however If you want to know who we work for that is currently classified we were privately contracted before this outbreak happened and that's all I can tell you. The main command center is in an underground facility out on the pacific ocean it has been completely untouched by the infection, as for the forward command post, it has around 100 soldiers guarding the mile wide perimeter at all times along with assorted machine gun and sniper emplacements and constant moving tank and helicopter patrols. All we know about the origins of the infection are that it's a weaponized virus developed by a currently unidentified terrorist cell the first infection was confirmed in the Beijing University International Hospital in China 12 days ago, we assume that the man infected was one of the scientists that were working on the virus however infected himself with it either by accident or purposefully." He finally finishes answering all of daemon's questions, as soon as he does so Flute pipes up again "What do you mean by contain? If said infected were to show being immune after 6 hours, would they be able to come back to your safety area?" Redfield begins talking again, apparently having amazing tolerance for talking "by contain I mean that we strap the infected to the seat on the chopper so it cant attack and infect anyone else and then observe the person over 72 hours in a Plexiglas cell once we reach the forward command post to make sure that they are completely immune and that the virus has neutralized itself within the host and then yes, they can then be safely transferred onto the main facility" Redfield finishes talking again. However before anyone can ask anything else Chambers begins talking "Sir, we should get moving, their questions can be answered later and it's been much too quiet." Redfield nods and begins talking yet again "all right, decide if two of you want to come with us or not" He stops talking looking intently at all of you.

Edit: these "mini responses" arent very small lol :P

((My mind totally lapsed huur, excuse my 3rd post in a row))

I bit my lip, forgetting time was of the essence for these people, and for the 2 possible people that can go with them. That helicopter can definitely hold more than just the 2 of us though...it's a helicopter!!

I grimaced. I looked over at Tal, and quietly whispered to her: "I might stay since I'm probably infected. If you're leaving with them, mind giving me your bag so I can last for awhile?"

Towards the group as a whole, I waited until everyone had input.
((If two people elect themselves to go, I'll stay. If by the time that everyone posts and there's a spot for one person to go, I'll probably go, depending on who goes with me.))
