Amy jumped back and hid behind me, "Um, Amy?" I asked nervously, Amy poked her head out, "Yeah?" she asked, "You are on your own." I said zipping off, "WHAT!?" Amy yelled, she tried chasing after me but of course, I was too fast.

Knuckles narrowed his eyes and growled, dropping into a fighting stance. He was about to go full force on her, but then when he actually got a glimpse of her expression. He felt a pang of sympathy and shrank back a few steps. No... I can't... He thought as he averted his gaze. Darn. I'm already going soft. He let out an aggravated sigh.

Amy was shaking with fear and then she noticed that Knuckles wasn't attacking, "I'm sorry Knuckles, I didn't mean to make you angry." she said putting her hammer away, I was surprised that Knuckles didn't attack Amy, "He didn't attack, is something wrong with him or is he going soft?" I asked Tails.

Tails shook his head as Knuckles turned to walk off. "I read somewhere that his species frowned upon fighting somebody a lot weaker then you were. Maybe he just didn't want anyone getting hurt," He whispered.

"Well, you two are evenly matched," Tails pointed out. "And you don't show fear easily. If you were skiddish, He'd probably leave you alone because that would show that you arn't a threat. What's the point of fighting someone if they'll flee on their own with a sharp word and a growl? Besides," Tails added, "Rage is like a storm, destructive and scary, but at least it's over quickly. And jt isn't like she stole the Master Emerald or anything,"
