The naga tucked her hair behind her scaled ears, drawing back the bow. After a few more seconds, she landed a bullseye. "Yes! I knew I was still great at this!" She hissed happily.

i put the knife in my pocket and snuck out the arena without anyone knowing. i walked around the empty halls thinking about my past. i couldn't get it out my head the my father would find me and attack me agian. i looked at the floor while walking to who knows where but i hoped nobody saw me leave, the only one i was in the mood to see was kyle

Zane walked into the arena. He ran up to the principal and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey, I talked to Kai and I was wondering if there was a room being made for him to stay in cause the lake is somewhat uncomfortable for him." Zane said. "And if not, do you at least have a water proof bed of some sort so his gills don't get clogged when he's sleeping?" Zane asked

Kyle smiled. Two twin knives, built for speed. Kyle liked that assasin build, it just called to him. Now all he needed was some poison... Okay, yeah, Kyle could be demonic sometimes.

Kyle noticed Luna was no longer there, and saw a black tail disapear behind the doors. He frowned and pushed open the doors. "Hey Luna, where are you going?" Kyle exclaimed. Man, I sound like a clingy girlfriend...

i turned around to see kyle, i slightly smiled " hey... i was just going to clear my thoughts..." Wanted to talk about my father but didn't want anyone hurt so i keep lying about him. i try to stay calm and not have one of my breakouts, especially not in front of kyle.

"What are you doing?"
"I'm nervous....! There are so many people here..."
"I am not making the connection between the amount of troglodytes in our direct vicinity has anything to do with your constant fiddling of the ends of your hair."
Danielle puffed out her lower lip, her fingers excessively twiddling the blackened strands of hair around and around.
"Why are you so mean...!" Danielle sulked but knew the taller male was just nagging her. It was easy for her to guess his mood by his facial expressions. That half-smile was curling his lip and his eyes had the faintest of gleams within their silver depths.
"'Mean' is my middle name," Kerri answered, a hand in his back pocket of his worn and scuffed jeans.
"I thought 'stubborn' was your middle name?" Danielle asked. Kerri shrugged and wrapped an arm loosely around his sister's shoulders.
"It changes when the situation calls for it." He observed her still visibly stressing, calmly reaching for an ebony plume hiding in her long hair and plucking it out.
"Ow!" Danielle jerked visibly and rubbed her scalp, "What was that for...!"
"Took your mind off of being nervous, didn't it?" Kerri grinned cockily as his sibling scowled, crinkling her nose.

That slight hesitation... Kyle narrowed his eyes. She was hiding something, of course she was. Kyle had known that from the start.

But if it was one thing that made demons go mad, it was the pursuit of knowledge. The need to know; It was what drove humans to their deaths. Incredible, that a non-tangible thing could cause angels and humans to become Fallen, to be demoted to the rank of a demon. Heh.

"Oh... In that case, you can do that I guess." Kyle backed away, heading back into the arena.

For now, he'd let Luna stay mysterious.

But Kyle couldn't always control when his horns would peak out.

i wanted to say wait so bad but i just stood there unable to say words as i watch him leave. once he was gone i looked at the ground and sat on the floor on my knees. i wanted to cry but didn't instead i sat there trying to figure out what to do

"Hey guys!" Pheina said cheerfully. "what weapon do you think I should try? I think I should go for something I can use my talons for, since, well, I can't fly and fight using my hands, obviously" Pheina laughed

"Oh, hey Pheina!" Kyle chirped. "Your talons can do as weapons on their own on the ground... Do they have handguns?" Kyle asked. "If not guns, then stick with swords. Or crossbows. Those will be easier on your hands. Bows and daggers require more presicion, even if they can be more flexible." Kyle lectured.

Where the heck did all this knowledge come from? Really, it was hard to tell. As soon as Pheina had brought it up, it was as if something had just clicked in Kyle's head.
