Jason...shrugged? He just shrugged,his tail still between his legs though. "Don't be,ain't your fault and it's mostly mine.Mostly because of what happened five years ago,it was hard on them too. I see it,but they handle it a lot better because dragons bond...but they don't fully love.They try to avoid shatterings and so they try to avoid love,clearly" He then laughed softly. "Unlike me.Seriously,I just let my emotions walk all over me,literally all over me." He then pointed to his freckles.

Ash smiled at that. "That's okay. At least then people know how you feel."

Jason's expression changed and he didn't actually say anything,rather went "Iiiiiiihhhhhh" for about a whole minute.

Ash didn't interrupt, just held him the whole time

Once Jason was done he sighed. "Well...no one knows the color coding to my scales.The dragons think they might but they don't,and...I've not...told anyone...but you.And I'm pretty sure Puck can read them because he saw maroon and he let me go when I freaked out about a calling and it hurt so hence the maroon and he saw it and let me go so I'm not sure but thinking..."

"He may be able to read a few, but you're not for sure exactly how many he can read?"

He nodded. "Yeah." He seemed to stare at one underwing as the colors shifted like ink in a pot when you stir it,swirling gray and lavender and soon it lightened and turned to a lime green and that bubbled to a navy blue and then shades of blue just bubbled about.

"Well then why don't you ask him? Or tell him your color-coding?"

He sighed. "I'm not sure...I'm not sure anymore about letting my heart be exposed with all my emotions since they decide to dance all over me...what if....someone knows them,and sees the hurt...but only likes it more and knows they're getting to me?"

He shrugged. "Well then that person needs to stop. Or rather, people. People like that tend to prey on emotions like that, just like the rest of my court. They see it as a weakness. But that doesn't mean it has to be one."
