General snorted and followed

"I'm not sure, but we have to do something to get them back."

Wildfire pinned his ears back in General's direction. Dawn tried to get back to General only to be forced back to the herd.

"Getting past Wildfire is going to be the hard part," Sirina thought aloud, "What if General raced him and I got Dawn back while that was happening?"

"Yes! General is pretty fast, but definitely not as fast as Wildfire. It's worth a shot." Logan dismounted, going over to General, talking to him, telling him to race Wildfire

Wildfire watched General carefully waiting for a wrong move.

"Be careful Wildfire might try to fight instead but if you run fast he shouldn't." Sirina cautioned.

General didn't cry his challenge. Instead, he nickered, So, are you up for a race? he asked the stallion

General nodded, doing as Wildfire said. He tensed his muscles, ready to run.

Wildfire snorted, We doing this or not cause I need to get back to the herd. So where to and back?

Sirina looked at Wildfire, "Do you think General stands a chance of winning even if Wildfire gave him a head start?"
