angela:

"please put them on" Angela repeats, picking them up and handing them to her again "you don't have to wear them all the time, i just need to know if they work and if they fit. they should make it so you can't use your powers at all, if they don't do that, then someone could get hurt if you put them on thinking they did" she explains. "just put them on" Jack mumbles "you're getting something ninety percent of the people at this facility would kill for, don't take that for granted"

"shut up" she growled at him Her anger showing in her voice while putting the gloves on and sitting back into her chair, maple sat in her chair looking at the gloves, they weren't her style but she didn't say anything

"I kind of liked the one a while back.... with the tree of life," I say, smiling slightly to Dorcha. The way the branches reached out in all directions, paired with the vibrancy of the colors of paint, somehow managed to convey the feeling of life perfectly. Not in a scary way, like when my powers went berserk and everyone's life force leapt out at me, but in a slow, grandiose way.

"good, would you try to use your powers for me?" she asks, watching as maple tries to use her powers. she seems pleased when nothing happens. "alright! they're not too tight or too loose are they?" she questions.

Maple shook her head no not saying a word, she just wanted to go to her room and melt till she wasn't existing

"perfect!" she cheers, clapping "i'll get you a room set up, sadly the room you occupied was taken over by another group of people so i'll have to give you one of the isolated rooms until another group graduates" she explains "don't get in trouble" she says with a wave, heading back to the elevator.

"how's it feel?" Jack asks, gesturing to the gloves "i mean, with my power there's this constant buzz -no pun intended- at the base of my skull from all the bees trying to talk to me, it gives me headaches and drives me out of my skull, so what's it like not having to deal with the nasty side affects of your power?" he looks at the gloves in wonder, before clearing his throat and averting his eyes, embarrassed.

"Every part of my power is nasty" she mumbled hiding her hands in her pockets and getting up 'isolated rooms can't this just get any better' she says to herself painfully and leans against the wall silently, she felt like a pet accept worse

"they're not that isolated" he shrugs "it's like a little neighborhood of minihouses, just a bathroom and bedroom though, not an actual house. they're called isolation rooms because you don't share them with anyone, it's not half bad"

"you won't ever understand Jack and it will always be that way between us nothinggg more but strangers living in the same building" she mumbled She wanted to tell him her problems with these isolation rooms but didn't he had no business knowing her personal life when she was smaller than she is, she just ignored him the gloves irritated her and she already wanted to take them off, she sniffles and threw her hood over her head

"hey...i'm sorry if i came off as insensitive, it's just, i was really hoping, when i took the pill, that i'd get some awesome amazing power that i could use to help my mom, except i just got bees. and now i can't sleep, it hurts to think, i can't see my mom because just touching bees makes her break out in hives, and no one really like being around me because bees aren't exactly the most popular of bugs" he sighs, sitting down next to her. "i get if you don't like the gloves. people with cool powers like flaunting them around and stuff, but it's dangerous. that's why my dad isn't here anymore. he went out to work one day, before the pill, and someone with a really strong power went flew off the handle. it was nobodies fault, but a lot of people died that day." he shakes his head "i'm not asking you to pity me, i just want you to know why me and Angela like the gloves so much"
