She glared at him harder. "So, what was it than? Either you tell me, or you release Azrail."

The snake slithers up to you. " I will tell you then. " He says, leans over and whispers the answer in your ear. He then returned to Azrail's side. "And you will leave us now?"

"You expect me to leave him. I promised him I would protect him, and I don't intend to break that." She sauntered towards Azrail's leash and took out a dagger, intending to cut it.

"It was tell you or release him. I told you. I will not release him." The snakeman says, holding onto Azrail.
The young woman was jumping in place, "Please, let's go!"

Her heart was breaking. She got close to Azrail's ear, "I promise to come back for you, Try to fight them whenever they threaten you or you feel uncomfortable, alright?" She gave him a quick hug and followed the young girl.

"No! Don't leave me! I feel safe with you." Azrail cries, trying to get towards you, finally deciding that he could decide for himself who he wanted to be with. The snake wraps its coils around the boy's waist and holds him back.
The snake closes the door behind you.
The young woman leads you out the back door. She races towards the stables, where Zach was waiting next to a beautiful Iclandic Horse. "This is Aria, may she serve you well. Good luck on your journeys." She says. Zach was given his own horse, a Pervian Paso named Jacob.

"Thank you, Ma'am. Have a good day." She walked up to Aria and mounted her. She was faking a smile and was already regretting her decision. I pray nothing horrible happens to him before I can get back.

"I thought you were getting Azrail?" Zach's horse prances next to yours, wanting to get off on the journey already. Zach takes a minute to get it back under control.

She looks away from Zach. "I-I couldn't. I couldn't persuade the snake to give him up. And I couldn't cut his leash. I felt so useless. I promised him I would come back, but I don't even know if he'll be alive by then." She made Aria start trotting, and wiped her eyes as if she felt tears.

Zach makes his horse stop. "We can go back right now. Say the word, and we'll both go back for him. Or I'll go back for him while you stay safe."
The villagers had either ran away or were slain by the werebeasts. A few werebeasts had fallen, including the lion one.
