Rat wondered if he should reach out to Mia but thought better of "don't worry I'm not in her head but I feel the magic that is intertwined with her life force through the pendent

Rat pulled out a knife and stuck it into one of the wounds on Luffy back blood gushed from the wound but he ignored it as he worked to dig out the metal shards in his back

Silva was honestly grossed out a little, which was a very hard thing to accomplish. She took off her backpack and looked through it for bandage. "We are going to bandage him up right?" She asked finding a large wad of bandage. She had forgotten how many odd things she carried around with her but had a refresher course while looking for the bandage.

Sheptha didn't like the sound of that either. He watched the boy carefully making sure he wouldn't kill the boy.

Rat looked at Silva "no better to let it bleed bit I can use them for the shards" he replied as he pulled out the first Shard being careful not to touch Luffy blood jack focused on the growing puddle and it turned to red smoke and evaporated into the air he did the same with the blood on the Shard

Silva looked at the small monkey while talking to Rat. "What's he doing with the blood?" She asked as she dug in her bag for anything useful.

"Getting rid of it so it doesn't kill us, it's a long story" rat focused on the bag "right pocket" he said digging for the next Shard

She opened her right pocket and looked in it. "What do you want?" She asked trying to figure it out with the plethora of items in it.

"Bandages for these shards they won't be safe to touch for a few hours or so" he replied putting another three shards on the ground making five total

Silva tilted her head and handed him bandages. "Then how are you touching them?" She asked moving a little closer to try and see better. "And what happens if someone else does?" She asked trying to understand.

Sheptha didn't like where this was going.

Mia laid there shaking as she held her arms against her. Without her glasses she could barely see and the tears made her close to blind. Why hadn't Luffy listened to her? Now they were both hurt.

"I'm not I'm using the knife it is encased in magic so it isn't affected but any living thing besides jack were to touch this stuff the pain would be partly passed on to them as well useful but dangerous we use this kind of magic to keep the mortal wounded alive long enough to get them fixed up when I was a pirate" he replied

And pulled out 4 more shards "done" he said taking the bandages from Silva and using the knife to put the shards in it and wrapping them up
