The prosthetic fit itself in, joining with his nerves and actively increasing the sensitivity despite being insensitive to touch.

(It is better than nothing. It bound to the nerves and provided tbe input. It is as close as possible to a propper repair.

(I really hate to ruin this, but the nerves in these horns are unreplicable and irreparable. The most it can do for Traqil is make it look like he still had a horn, even then the prosthetic would hurt him constantly. The nerves are already sensitive, not to mention as of now without the shell of the horn covering some of them.)

(Please just let it be. The prosthetic weighs very little, and would actively protect the nerves at least. Besides, ot was half the horn, not the whole horn.)
