"But then, if Nicote's dead, the Warden's gonna have to bring back the repair crews and I think you remember hwo that went...." Cole shivered at the thought.

Victoria was so relieved to see the storage space that she almost collapsed. She wouldn't have to mine today. Probably.
"Yeah..." Jack shook his head to clear it of the memory at the mention of the last tie that the repair crews had come in.

She shows her how to climb up into it. Then closes the entrance, making the way in practically invisible to anybody not clinging to the little ridges on the stairs' undersides. It clearly hasn't been used for a long time. Except for a single recently broken box from when Rhia threw Zaire into it that one time.

Cole brushed some hair ot of his face. "Now if only they had a decent barbar here we'd have everything we needed, minus the-" he glanced around, then lowered his voice, "dogs."

Yeah, Victoria had no idea that that had even happened, and she wasn't too worried about why the box was broken. As long as it wasn't from the dogs.
"Don't forget the Wheezers," Jack muttered. "I'm sure the newbies will be able to meet them soon enough."

The tiny ridges were barely enough for Victoria to use, let alone massive flesh-dogs. It's lit up by a few light-bulbs, surprisingly, so they can see fairly well.

True, but she hadn't taken that into account. Plus, their slimy bodies probably would've coated the walls if they could squeeze their way in here.

Rhia smiles at her and sits on a box. There's spiders basically everywhere, and moths fluttering around the lights, but for a nightmare-prison this place is a nice change of scenery.

If she had never been to Furnace before, Victoria would've immediately gotten out of that space, mostly because of the spiders. But she definitely preferred spiders to what lied deep inside the prison.

Rhia seems to actually like the insects. She giggles softly as a spider decides to start wandering up her arm.
