a. the arrow would stay lit
b. drowning was a better alternative to burning.

Selkie was focusing on stopping the wind.
Houston handed Kaladin an arrow the tip rapped in oil soaked cloth, "Light it and shoot if you are going to cause Selkie cannot hold out much longer."
Sweat dripped off Selkie and his eyes were rapidly changing from stormcloud silver to sea blue.

Kaladin nodded. "Understood." He growled, running onto deck and standing near the edge. He took a flint and steel, and ignited the arrow. "Training, don't fail me now..." He sighed, drawing back and letting fly.

Selkie held the wind back just long enough for the arrow to hit home. He couldn't hold the wind back anymore and neither could the other stormcaller. The deck ignited into flames.
"Good shot you hit the gun powder," Skipper accually smiled.
The pirates weren't done yet and tried to fire a few more cannons but they erupted into flames.
Selkie held on tight to the side of the ship his eyes finally stopped glowing.

"Cannon powder, very dangerous around fire," Douglas explained, "Is it over?"
"Cannoners sometimes load black powder into cannons to give the cannonballs extra distance," Skipper explained, "You are a very lucky Mobian or a very good shot."

Selkie nodded and held onto the side of the ship for support, "Good I'm gonna go lie down for a while."
"No you are not," Douglas put a hand on Selkie's shoulder, "you are not going anywhere until your breathing calms down."
Selkiewas shaking as he held onto the side of the ship.
"Kaladin please help Selkie to s seat while I check on the crew." Douglas walked off.
"I am fine really just have a headache." Selkie gritted his teeth through the pain.
