Miles dropped what he was doing and went to her side. "Bey it's alight..." He said trying to calm her down. He sat next to her bringing her in for a huff before rocking her from side to side. "It's alright Luna, there was nothing you could have done for them, being a shifter or not."

"But they killed them!" She said histarically "and I ran! I didn't even try to fight!" She said then buried her face in Miles's chest.

"You did help them though." Miles said. "You gave them what they wished of you and gave them hope that you made it out to where they didn't. If anything you gave them their dying wish."

"You think so?" She asked looking up at him. She realized that a tear was running down her face. She quickly raised an arm and hastily wiped it away "Thanks, I... I guess I just really needed to hear that." She stayed close to him though not wanting to move away from himi don't know why but I feel safer like this.

Miles hugged her close. "Come on then let's get back to work. I honestly don't want to get fired on my first day." He joked before standing and helping her to her feet.

"Heh yeah." Luna said laughing a little. She went to another stall and began to pour food into its bowl.

"So are you sure you really want to get a dog? we don't have to if you don't want to." Miles said returning to his work

"No I think a dog would be a good idea." Luna said "like you said it could bring us closer together."

Miles smiled some. "Alright then we shall get us a dog." He closed the kennel door. "I think that's all of them, what now?"

"Well now I usually move on to the cat house. Here I'll show you Sun she had a new litter of kittens a few days ago."
