Orion just started at the balls Alderic was juggling. Orion fell back in his bed, sighing. "Tired.." He mumbled.

"What if 'morning Ember' is 'real Ember'?" Ember asked sitting down her need and staying at the floor glumly.

Alderic snorted. "Yeah me too but I can't sleep." He said as he closed his eyes for a bit keeping up with the rhythm of the balls.

A'ine snorted as she opened the bathroom door. "Don't try and fool a telepath. I know that the real you is the one who was here right before we went outside." She went in side the bathroom to let Ember soak that in. She started the sink and pulled off her soaking shirt.

"Me neither..." Orion stood up suddenly and walked over to the window sill. He stared outside, wondering if Jora was alright.

Ember climbed into her bed and burrowed under the covers. She turned on her side, wondering what A'ine would think if she had told her why Ember had called herself selfish. She'll find out eventually, and she's understanding, but still...

Alderic caught the balls and put them down next to his glasses. "So what's making you sleepless?" He asked trying to help Orion to get to sleep. He looked like he could use it.

A'ine quickly washed out her hair in the sink a little. She was so sick of seaweed. She grabbed a hand towel and started rubbing her hair with it. She opened the door with fresh clothes and the towel on top of her head. She smiled when she saw Ember in bed. "You asleep?" She whispered putting her dirty clothes down.

"I'm too busy thinking about today," Orion said, sighing, and leaving out the part about being worried about Jora. He didn't want to make Alderic feel more guilty than he already did. "What about you?"

"Not yet," Ember said, thinking about what A'ine said earlier. She says how I acted on the afternoon was who I really was.

Alderic stared up at the ceiling. "Just stuff..." He sighed deeply. "No telling, but I'm trying to live with no noise. My younger sisters always fought over who got which bunk. It's kind of my back round noise but..." He looked up at the ceiling again.

A'ine smiled. "You want me to finish braiding your hair?" She asked picking her brush up again. 'And she's right.' She sent to her smiling wider.

"Hard to sleep without the nodded your used to. Same here. My sister would blacksmith late into the night. I know clanging metal isn't the best lullaby but..." Orion said.

Ember's eyes widened in surprise. She day up. "Yes please," she said softly.

Alderic smiled at the ceiling. "Sisters... You don't know how much you miss them till the first night without them."

A'ine got on Ember's bed and started re-brushing her hair. "Today was exciting." She said smiling a little.

"Yeah.... It's so weird, it's too quiet...." Orion said, walking back from the window, carefully avoiding the bag he had tripped on earlier. He strained his ears for any sign of noise, but all he heard was their breathing. "No one's making a sound," he said.

Ember relaxed a bit, "Yeah..." She still felt guilty, wondering if A'ine would think her explanation for her shyness was logical.

Alderic groaned. "I know. My mom always joked about if I hadto be someplace quiet, I'd shrivel up in the silence!" He said laughing a little. "Hey, I wonder if one of my sister's sneaked my radio into my bag before I left." He said excitedly and grabbed his bag and started going through it squinting a little because he wasn't wearing his glasses.

A'ine smiled as she finished brushing Ember's hair out. "So we going swimming tomorrow." She said happily taking a hair tie off the end of her brush. "It'll be fun." She yawned a little as she started weaving Ember's hair together into a braid.
