"Evelyn," I say simply, through the window in the back of the truck. I crouch in the truckbed, not able to fit in the cab. (It is a pickup truck right?) Lazuli slithers out from my scarf and looks around, flicking his tongue.

Allen: i shiver cold, yet i sweat at the same time. maybe sleep can wait.


Kat: i dont like that we are now taking in Zombies. "i am Kat."

Yasa: "and i am Yasa."

Theta: i sit in the farthest corner away from Fred. "i am Theta."

Bert: "nice to meet you all. where would you like me to stop dear?"

Tory: i smile "main street and ill go from there, i wont be long though" i say shyly, hopefully no one would go with me

Kyra: one of the zombies move, which catches my attention, i accidentally back into Theta, trying to get farther away from the zombies, i didnt like that we had them in here at all

The wind bites at my clothes and I lean against the cab of the truck. It's nice to be in a truck bed instead of a cab. The wind feels good and I can watch the world go by. I guess that's the one good thing that came from the outbreak. There's no rules. But I'm not even sure if that's a good think right now. (What state did we start off in?)

Bert: "can do missy." i turn the wheel. you are getting close to main street.

Allen: people pass me. wait i am not alone anymore? we as in me and that man who talked me out of death are not alone? i reach my hand out to stop somebody. all i want was to see their face.

Zombie: it just lays there. it slowly releases it's last breath....


(California)

Kyra: i look at Fred, he reached out at me, i back into Theta even more, not noticing it

Tory: "thank you" i say shyly

I walk toward the open end of the truck and lean against the side. I stare out the window, gathering my thoughts. There are zombies in the truck, but they don't seem harmful. I relax, wondering if life will ever be normal again.

Leon: "everything ok back there?"

Allen: she backs away. why? i try to talk but cant. i try to get to her, to make her see me and that i was alive! i reach out farther.

Bert: "Fred are you feeling well?"

Kyra: i try and back up more but cant, something was in the way, i turn and see Theta was there, and turn back to see the zombie reach towards me more, i put my back against Theta's shoulder, trying to get farther away from the zombie, watching the zombie the whole time, remembering Peter, then watch the zombie, scared

Tory: i look to see what Fred wanted, i watch him, and notice what he wanted but leave him alone if he wanted to get Kyra's attention, he could

Allen: Why was she scare of me? i was a human just like her! i give up. i curl back up into a tight ball. god i am cold! my head hurts, and i shiver. i want a hug, yet i want to kill. i breath in and out. i just need to calm down. i try to stay still, but my arms and legs jerk. i just want sleep, but it may never come.

Bert: "this way?"







Brom: i look outside the window. a single zombie stands there, swaying in the breeze. i look at it a while longer. "what do you think that is?"
