Right. He could either lie to his mother and tell her it was a miracle and not have to worry about her telling people the truth, or he could tell her the truth. He took a deep breath. "We made a cure."

"Cure?" She says after she stops coughing.

He nodded. "Yes. A cure. It was in a small quantity, though, an experimental thing. So far, it's been...working."

She says once shewas abletostop coughing, "but there was no cure for this sickness. " she was honestly confused. She knows that this sickness was uncureable with the knowledge they have.

"That's what we thought," he murmured quickly. "But there is a cure, as long as what we gave you continues to work to heal you."

She looks at him and says, "Bradyn are you hiding something from me?"

"I--" He stopped. "What? What would I be hiding?"

She gave him a mother knows look and says, "Bradyn I give birth and raised you without help. I know if you are hiding something also the sickness has no cure to our knowledge, "

"That's what I'm saying! There could potentially be one! I mean...you're feeling at least a little better, right?"

She sighs and says, "Yes I am feeling better. But how was I able to get better? Is other people getting better?"
