Ilona stared over the side of the building. She'd have to dispose of the beast first before going after its keeper. She jumped down to the ground. She gripped her sword tight. A few weird glances were thrown her way but she payed it no mind. She walked back towards where she had left the target. They were, obviously, not there anymore. She looked around then rounded a corner, where she found them once more. She quietly and quickly ran at them. She slid on the ground as she delivered a nasty blow to the monster. It let out a cry of anguish then fell. The master jumped at that then looked at Ilona, enraged. She smiled and got up. She pointed her sword towards him, daring him forward but providing him a chance to retreat. He did not catch on to his one chance to run and ran forward, drawing his own sword. She smirked then disappeared, reappearing behind him. She ran him through. He fell and she dislodged her sword from his back. Thank you Oran. she cooed as she wiped off her sword.

Marla and the man who had helped her - Jonathan, she thought she remembered someone calling him - laughed after the fools who couldn't recognize when someone was going to win their money from them.
Marla called out to a passing server, "A bowl of stew for each of us!" She began counting out coins from the pile in front of her. Jonathan clapped her on the shoulder.
"And some pints to go with them!" he bellowed. Marla looked up from her pile to make eye contact with the server. She signaled, and the server nodded in understanding before disappearing in the direction of the kitchen. Marla returned to counting her coins.

Ilona looked around. She would have to figure out her next course of action, but first, she'd have to get some sleep. She started to walk away from the lifeless body. Her eyes scanned the surrounding areas, ensuring no one else followed her. The memories of earlier were getting foggier. She growled in frustration. That was not what she wanted but it couldn't be helped.

Spirits were high around the table as someone started dealing out cards again - just for a friendly game this time, no money. Marla had forgotten the chill she had felt outside. She talked easily with her table-mates. The game they had started she really had never played before, but they were teasing her about how she'd probably manage to beat them all anyway. She hardly noticed when a man walked through the door and began scanning the crowd.
(Terribly sorry to keep you waiting. Things got busy for a while there, and I was having some trouble deciding where to take things next.)

(All good. I suppose I will draw Ilona back to the bar.)
Ilona bit her lip. Another drink would be good. She could feel a dragging in some other direction but she shook it off. "Ah, not right now. I got the problem Oran." She growled to seemingly no one in particular. She started back. As she entered the bar again, she noticed a strange figure. She ducked her head and walked back up to the front to order another drink.

Marla was surprised to see the masked woman return to the tavern, but her attention was quickly drawn away by the man who still hovered by the doorway. He locked eyes with her, and her heart leapt. Finally, there was some news.
