(Sorry I was gone for so long, Had to clean house cause someone was coming to look at it. That and I am typically not on during Sunday's anyway as I have a Sunday school class to teach.)
Ruff looked at a nearby bush. Fluttering closer he took a better look. "Looks like some gooseberries. A little bit tricky to eat because of the spikes, but last I knew they were edible to humans too. Might be a good idea to grab a snack considering we don't know how far off a settlement might be."

(It is fine, I have been a bit busy too)
Ilona looked at the bush. Ya, I guess. That may be good. she said quietly. She walked over and picked a few. She removed the spikes then handed some to him. So, what is your world like? she asked as she ate the berries.

Ruff took a bite and chewed thoughtfully before replying, "Well it's kinda like two worlds actually. Once long ago humans and mythicals lived on the same dimensional plane of existence. Over time humans started hunting the mythical races for one reason or another. It became so bad that we eventually got enough magic together take some of the land and create a pocket dimension of sorts. Its still connected to our original world, or else both worlds might fade and die." Taking another bit he gathered his thoughts before replying. "For the mythic half it tends to vary from location to location. Some places favor races more associated with light while others are more hospitable to darkness. There are also places that tend to attract more neutral races. Places where light races tend to live are usually beautiful and fertile. Whether they are like gardens, seashores, forests, or marshes. We have mountain ranges and tundra's too in some areas even a desert or two. The dark lands as most people call them are typically more barren and dreary. Often dustly and sometimes Volcanic or swamp like. Neutral lands tend to be either.
Ruff polished off his first berry before continuing. Most mythics cant cross the boundry, just like most humans don't know how to cross to our side, but their are a few that can. Being a detective I can. The human side still has quite a bit of nature, though there are often arguments on how to manage it. Both sides tend to trend towards the extreme of each end. They also have many towns and cities with paves roads, metal buildings, and machines and such. Its landscape can be just as varied, though without the magical interference that mythical races tend to bring into the mix." Ruff started on his second berry, "So what's your home like? Is it nice?"

Ilona had quickly finished the berries. She nodded. My world can be nice. Though, it has its fair share of chaos. Lots of different kingdoms and evils. So many wars. Humans are definitely not the most dominant race. We dont have magic of our own. We have to rely on relics like my Oran here. she said, signaling to her sword. She sighed. Relics are so few and far between. It makes it hard to stand up to the magical races. That means my people rely on the few such as myself lucky enough to obtain such items. Even we can not protect them all and if we are to fall and lose our relic, our people lose yet another hope. That is not to say all humans are oppressed. There are some human kingdoms that do well for themselves, though their means are rarely good. Often we are made to choose between weakness but righteousness or power but evil. Still, it is a beautiful world. It may seem only evil at times, but it can be truly good if you look for that. she said wistfully. She shifted a bit. There are too many kingdoms for one person to explore in their lifetime. The world seems truly endless. We know it does end. Not sure how, but we do. People will journey lifetimes and they may not even get a quarter of the world. I hope to be able to see as much of it as I can, though my burden keeps me from traveling. I have work to do after all. Still, it is hard to come by a place that is not visually appealing.

Finishing his berry Ruff wiped a sleeve across his mouth. "What other kinds of races inhabit your world? Do any tend towards light like my people? From what you say most non humans are probably not that friendly. I was just wondering if your people have any allies?"

Yes, we have allies. Not all non humans are bad, there just arent very many good. As for other species, there are quite a few. I should say, most fairies from my home are a good bit bigger than you. They keep to themselves for the most part. Ive talked to maybe one or two in the whole... mmm... no point in keeping track of age. she mumbled. She shrugged and laughed a little. Though it was hidden, one could tell she was likely smiling beneath the mask. She was quite enjoying the talk. It was nice to be able to talk.

Ruff nodded thoughtfully. He looked at his new surrounding frowning in thought. "I wonder what kind of world we have just ended up in. Hopefully when we run into the natives they are friendly"

She pulled her knees up to her chest. Mmm, that would be good. I would rather not leave much of a print on a world that is not my own, and fighting with the natives would sort of leave a large one. she said quietly. She hadnt really considered the possibility of the natives being hostile.
