Alec frowned, confused on why it was so surprising that he made his own lights. He was gently brushing out his hair as he gave a shrug. "Just a simple spell. I'm a mage, so...." His eyes widened as he kind of just spit that out. Now the human would really want his head. He backed up, holding his brush defensively like a knife... but it was a hairbrush. "Don't cut off my head, please... I need it rather badly," he said, a tremble in his voice. Obviously he wasn't informed on the modern doings of humans. His mind was still back in the day when elves and humans didn't really get along. "And I'd hate to die at this time of the year. Just forget I said anything about magic!"

Gale cocked an eyebrow as the elf suddenly grew even more nervous and even a bit defensive. So he was a mage not a witch, that was good right? "I'm not going to kill you, why would I do such a thing?" He wasn't here to kill the elf...was he? He couldn't remember. "If anything I was going to invite you to a Christmas Party for the holidays, since you said you were alone." He said his cheeks growing a bit rosy. "This isn't the time of year anyone should be spending alone."

The elf took a deep breath, realizing there was no need to be so jumpy and nervous. He finished brushing his hair as he turned his back to the man. He whipped around at the mention of a Christmas party. "I've never left the forest... at least, not in over ten years. Being alone makes my studies easier," he said quickly. He set down the brush to grab up his hair tie. He started rolling his hair up into a bun. He very shyly proceeded to ask, "Why do you want to take me anyways? We just met. We fight even know each other's names."

He hadn't left the forest in over ten years? He didn't even know about the new frozen yogurt stand, or the milkshake place! That had to be fixed as well. "I have to thank you for saving me somehow. And I'm a nice guy. There's no reason for you to be lonely out here in the woods, I mean unless you just want to be. Names Gale by the way, Gale Summers."

Alec finally finished tying his hair up as he watched the human react to the news of him not being out of the forest for so long. He folded his arms, not out of anger, but it just felt comfortable. A soft smile, the first genuine smile all morning, as he walked back over to Gale. "My name is Alec West. Yes, I am incredibly lonely. It's just...." He hesitated as he glanced out the window. He didn't want to delve into his history right now. "I was told I needed to live alone and in solitude, too."

"You would still technically be living alone." Gale smirked. "You would just be gone for one or two nights. Come on this is no time of year to board yourself up in your house all alone. If anything you could at least just come over to my place. We could crack open a bottle or run and some egg nog while we spent the night playing video games or watching Christmas movies. I haven't quiet got all the details worked out if you can tell." He said chuckling a bit. "Or just come over for dinner. Anything but staying locked up in this house."

Alec appeared amused at Gale's ramblings. He thought about the proposal as his eyes went over to the fire. He thought about the idea of video games and he cringed. He remembered giving that a try back when he would venture off to the human world behind his mentor's back. That had been horrible; he was no good at it. Finally he said something. "Sure. We can do something like that. It isn't the season to be lonely, your right about that," he said, still sounding unsure.

"Alright! How does Tomorrow sound on the coffee, and Christmas Eve sound on the 'party'?" Gale asked standing. Though in his rush he forgot the discomfort standing gave him as he fell forward tripping over the chair as his ankles gave out.

Alec was very hesitant to say a definite yes to Gale's invitation. When the man's ankles gave out and he started to fall forward, the mage tried to catch him. Only to be crushed flat under the other's weight. He really wasn't built to support people. "Ow...."

He couldn't stop himself from falling forward landing onto iof the mage their noses nearly touching. The moment he realized what was happening he turned red in the face, blushing as he felt the mage trapped beneath him. This wasn't how he wanted this to go! The mage wasn't nearly was built as he was, the elf's body being slender and lean rather than muscular. No, no, no! No such thoughts! As Gale tried to stand though he fell again, somehow managing to get the button of his jacket stuck in the mages robes. His cheeks turned bright red. "S-sorry." He stammered fumbling to try and get the button unstuck while still laying on top of the mage. It was so hard not to just go for a kiss. They were right there after all! Why play around with it still either it was going to happen or it wasn't! Though he reframed focusing on getting the button undone.
