How about she's kind, but has a large temper that can get the better of her? And she prefers to stay alone, but she'll stick with someone if she knows them.

Adding on to what was said above, she is also naive. She is slow to trust others, but once she does, there is no friend more loyal than her. She is also caring, but it is mainly limited towards her friends and family. She tends to avoid others if she has not interacted with them previously.

I like the snake idea, but also what about an arboreal salamander? They live in the same habitat as island grey foxes, making it more plausible.



I feel like she would be slightly uncomfortable with birds, since raptors like the golden eagle and the shrike are the island grey fox's main predators.
